Unfortunately after years of being a loyal CVS customer in multiple cities and states, our experience with the CVS on Dorset Street has led to us changing pharmacies. When there was a shortage of a medication that my child needed for an acute illness and the prescription could not be filled at our preferred CVS or another one close by we were told to try another pharmacy but it was my responsibility to call other pharmacies to see if they had the medication in stock. When I brought this to thier employees attention, I was told that they couldn’t be the ones calling other pharmacies to see what was in stock because they had things to do and patients to care for. The customer service was subpar and frankly we will never use CVS for our prescriptions again. It is unacceptable to tell the parent of a sick child (or any patient needing a medication) that they need to be the ones calling around town to find a pharmacy who has the necessary medication in stock to fill a prescription. When did this become the consumer’s responsibility?

Don't wear a hoodie and sweatpants into this store because they will accuse of shoplifting and call you a crackhead. This young woman who works there asked me to take the makeup pallet out of my pocket, so I reached into my pocket to show her my iPhone 13 pro max. I was very confused, so i emptied all my pockets for her. She then proceeded to tell me I looked like a lady who frequently shops there that is a crackhead. There is enough wrong with our society, especially for our homeless population with addiction issues, yet this woman decided it was okay to us harmful language. I am appalled by her behavior. I clearly had items in my hands. She then began to tell me how this woman smells, and I immediately smelled myself, which I smelled like Burberry perfume. The whole interaction was absolutely atrocious because my cell phone was in my pocket from before I entered the store, so I never made a movement that would like I was putting anything in my pockets. Do better CVS.

Just called to ask questions about my prescription to see if they could tell me if it would be covered prior to the deductible being met for my particular insurance, as apparently some medications are. They could not give me that information, which I completely understand, but the person was extremely curt. Interrupted me repeatedly to robotically tell me he could not answer my question, could only provide me with the cash price. When I started to ask another question, he interrupted me again with his robotic sentence, sighed heavily ,and was generally unbelievably obnoxious. I have always found CVS pharmacists to be very helpful in other states. Not this pharmacy!

Went there for 3 passport photos. They came out a bit blurry and I asked if that was going to be an issue and the clerk said "It says that they pass all the standards, it should be fine" and didn't offer to retake. All 3 were rejected. Please train your associates better, this has caused a huge problem for us.

Not only have l always been impressed with the far-ranging variety of items in the South Burlington CVS, but l recently was so appreciative of the CVS Store Manager exchanging Foster Grant glasses that had broken in less than a week ($39.00) of purchase for a brand new pair of reading glasses..The circumstances were such that the glasses were worn within normal limits ; however, suddenly the stem of the plastic glasses snapped off ! I was beside myself that the glasses did not last a full week!!!The CVS Manager was welcoming and understanding when l told her of the sudden and unexplained breakage of the stem . She walked me to the eye glass section and offered an exchange. I was delighted. What great customer relations care. I highly recommend CVS in South Burlington for its professionalism and its huge variety!CVS , you are best !!

Very rude pharmacist! I can’t believe how they are talking on the phone trying to ask simple questions. Refusing to help even though I had all the info they needed. Shame

I never write reviews, but for this guy I seriously need to. The first time I encountered this pharmacist, he was extremely rude. I saw his name tag was Owen. I asked about my prescription in person and he said it wasn't there. I am never rude to people who work in customer service because I understand how it feels to deal with customers, like genuinely. I was confused and asked if he could check again. He got so angry at me and actually raised his voice. My friend is also a witness to this. I was actually offended, because this is a medicine that you cannot mess around with, it needs to be taken on time every day. I looked at his coworker and even she was embarrassed by his behavior. Now I called him on the phone, and the same problem occurred. He so easily got angry when I asked what the next steps are if he didn't have it in the system, it was actually scary. He said to call my other doctor and make sure it was sent, and she confirmed it was sent. Then I call and he answers back, I explain the situation, and again he yells at me. I have never ever spoken to someone more disrespectful. I asked how it was possible that it wasn't in the system (once again nicely because I hate rude customers), and he said to call back the other doctor and figure it out, to where he then literally hung up on me. Had someone else call to see if they would get a different person, and he answered to which it was agreed that he was extremely nasty over the phone. I really even hate to write this, because you never know if someone working is having a hard day, but at some point it is unfair to deal with someone like that. I always use CVS so obviously it's going to be frustrated having to change where this prescription is going solely due to Owen. And the sad part is I really wanted to speak to him directly about it instead of posting a review, but he hung up on me so I didn't get the chance.

It’s important that this pharmacy stays true to the hours it posts it will be open. I’m sick and I drove a half hour to pick up medication, only to learn the pharmacy was closed! That’s useless energy wasted.

This visually is one of the better CVS locations around Burlington, but they packaged my perspection in 12 small bottles, when 1 larger bottle would've been fine. I would've preferred less plastic.

The worst pharmacy I've ever used, they've messed up my orders every single time. Whenever I have to pick up multiple medicines at once they're always missing something, because the lost the doctor's invoice, and I have to call the doctor to ask them to resend the prescription order, and a quarter of the time the pharmacy STILL doesn't get the medicine. Today they filled the wrong dosage of my medicine, .25 mg when it should be 1 mg! Utterly incompetent, the lot of them.
