This was the worst customer service I have ever received from any company. EVER!I have to be out of the country for work on Valentine's Day, so when I saw they were having a promotion for a free box of chocolates it seemed perfect! I ordered a bear with roses splurged to customize it, because it's Valentine's Day and I wanted to make my wife smile. I was well over the $25 needed to qualify for free chocolates. It would be the perfect total package for my wife to open. When I went to purchase the bear a new customer discount was applied. AMAZING, or so I thought. The price was still well over the amount needed for the free chocolates, so I was living the dream. I paid and got the email confirmation. Thats when my dreams of surprising my wife started to turn sour. Apparently the system won't allow you to have 2 sales promotions at the same time (new customer and free chocolates). They got rid of the chocolates. Anyone who has a wife with a sweet tooth will understand when I say the chocolates were KEY to the success of this gift. But did I panic? No, because the confirmation email said email in 15 minutes with any problem. That's quick to know if there is a problem, but I was on it! Replied immediately to explain the situation. I NEEDED the chocolates. If I had to choose a discount I'd pay full price and get the chocolates! No reply for 2 days not even shipping info. Finally, a reply and its to tell me there is NOTHING they can do. Fine. Please, cancel my order. They tell me OOPS we forgot to tell you but it already shipped. "Is there anything else I can help you with?" What do you mean else! You helped with nothing! It was all down hill from there. Just a robotic loop of can't help and it shipped. The irony is I chose a bear from this company because they are not cheap; they are hand crafted, and yet their customer service could not be more stingy and hands-off.

We liked it! We took a tour and were able to see how the teddy bears are made! During the tour we also got to visit the Teddy Hospital, where broken teddy bears are restored! Because the teddy bears have a lifetime guarantee! There were only 4 of us on the tour and we were able to see everything well! We were also shown some special editions of the teddy bears! Which is nice for kids - there's an area where you can make your own teddy bear!Of course there is also a room where you can buy the standard teddy bears! There are different sizes and you can also buy clothes for the teddy bear!

Had a family tour with Mark and had the best time. Mark played my favorite song (Sweet Caroline) and we sang. Tour was fun, informative. My family and I had a great time. Thanks Mark!

Never ordering again! I ordered a bear for Christmas for my mom as I have ordered around 10 bears from this company. She already had the bear I ordered and I went through with the return process. I got the bear during a Christmas sale so my total was around $75 including shipping. I got charged another $26 to swap out the bear for one of equal value without the sales because when I returned it the bears were not on sale anymore. Told me they’d ship it out same day they took the $26 extra from me - it’s been weeks I never received my bear. I called back and they haven’t even shipped it! $100 for a bear and I can’t even get it within the month now I have to wait until Monday for them to HOPEFULLY ship it out - which they probably won’t remember to do unless I call back a 4th time! Ridiculous!

I worked two seasons here, a long time ago, in art & embroidery & in fulfillment. I thought it was a lot of fun & only stressful because of some of the people who were miserable in their own lives & wanted to share that with the people around them. I was very upset to find out that the parts of the VT Teddy Bear are actually made in China (like everything else these days.. ) They are only assembled in Vermont & for that reason I feel the prices should be lower. I feel it's false & dishonest advertising & should be re-named The Chinese Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, but let's be honest, that would never fly. On a brighter note, I think the Bear Hospital is a charming, wonderful & magical aspect of the T.B.F. for children & adults. In some cases, to mend & restore a childhood bear is to mend a heart, memory or best friend. If you visit, be sure to also stop by the small shop where they sell Pajamas, their is a section of misprinted garments, returns, or off season garments that they used to sell at a discount & once a year they have a tent sale where nearly everything is $1. That may have changed in more recent years. If they still sell them, the hoodie footies (Basically an adult onesie) are a must buy. They are so comfortable & perfect for a lazy day at home.

My son loves stuffed toys and really enjoy going to the Teddy Bear Factory. The quality of the teddy bears is extraordinary and so much better than his other stuffed toys. It even comes with a lifetime warranty. Despite my encouragement to get a soft teddy bear, he insists on getting a sea turtle. Then the staff actually found one for him and completely made his day. Amazing. At the time of this review, you can sign up to their mailing list online to get 15% off.

Ordered an elephant for my daughter for Christmas, spent $100. Received a Dinosaur instead. Initiated a return through Amazon and now it won't arrive until after Christmas. Reached out directly to Vermont teddy bear to see if they can get it to me sooner and check if it was even in stock. Rep couldn't check if it was in stock. And refused to assist. I'm very, very upset about this. And will never order through this company again.

We visited this amazing place during thanksgiving weekend and it was definitely a blast for our 3 year old. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. There is a factory tour that is very popular but we couldn’t do it because it’s at specific time and our toddler was too overwhelmed at choosing all the toys. Definitely will be back there! Good prices too

We were in Vermont in celebration of my daughter’s 5th birthday. As a tradition, we typically go to build a bear on her birthday no matter where we are but I noticed that there weren’t any in this state and stumbled upon this place! I’m so glad I did. The staff were nice and the bears themselves were reasonably priced and the interaction of building them was fun. The only downside is my daughter wished there were more selection of clothing for her bear. I had a 15% off coupon for signing up for emails so it wasn’t as expensive as it could’ve been. Any little bit helps. We purchased three 15” inch bears and 4 outfits. Be prepared to spend anywhere between 26-40 on the bear itself and $15 and up on outfits depending upon which one you choose. The tour was free for kids 12 and under which was great and $5 for adults. It was very informative and I love that as long as you keep the sewn tag on your bears bottom there you can send it back to the factory for any repairs or replacement FOR LIFE. So despite it being pricey in the long run it’s worth it for the free trips to the bear hospital. A must stop if you have kiddos that love fluffy friends

A great tourist attraction when traveling through Vermont! My favorite feature is the 10 ft huggable teddy bear in the lobby! I’ve never taken the factory tour but I’m sure it’s great. Their teddy bears are adorable (they offer more variety then just bear plush too). Just keep in mind their bears are incredibly expensive, so I just buy an enamel pin or keychain of the bear I like

I highly recommend visiting here if you're visiting in the area ? The Vermont Teddy Bear Factory warmed our hearts today! My girlfriend and I jumped at the opportunity to take a tour of the famous teddy bear factory. The tour was a lot of fun and just looking at the vast selection of stuffed animals was a blast! We loved it so much that we took 2 new stuffed friends away with us!

Shavon was the best! Hugsy the teddy bear is a new highly sought teddy bear. A customer bought up all of them before I had a chance to get mine. When I asked Shavon if they had more, she winked, smiled and let me know she definitely had more.Shavon magically stocked them back up and brought me one she hand picked just for me. She helped me fit just the right bow for my new handsome little fella and hooked me up with an official teddy bear birth certificate.Shavon also gave us the best teddy bear factory tour. She had great trivia, questions and jokes. It was obvious that she truly loves teddy bears and her job.On the tour we saw actual production of the bears! The press where fabric is cut was being done as she described the process. We saw two seamstresses in action. We got a sneak peak of limited edition bears whose outfits are hand made. Then, we met Dr. Pam and several patients at the Teddy Bear Hospital. One bear looked like he sat in the hot seat a little too long and another was a victim of "cute aggression" or dog attack.I don't have children but I did notice how attentive and inclusive Shavon was with the kids and adults. She gave each child the opportunity to push the fluff button and she acknowledged each child's input and questions.Nicely done Shavon. The experience you created will be one that lasts a lifetime. Thank you
