Nice gem of a bookstore much like places in Manhattan's Greenwich village. Amazing selection of books with an up to date collection of the current best seller, don't see what you want just ask they'll get it for you.

The Flying Pig bookstore in Vermont is one of my absolute favorite bookstores. Not only is the selection of books fantastic, but the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming to our furry friend. Even after three years since our last visit, she still remembered us and greeted us warmly. This bookstore truly values its customers, and I highly recommend it over large chain bookstores like Barnes and Noble and Amazon. Let's support independent bookstores like The Flying Pig!

Called to ask about a JK Rowling book. Was told they don't carry her books because they stand with the Trans community. They were very nice, and I respect their rights to carry what they wish but still disappointed. Wanted to support a local business but will resort to Amazon.

Clean, well stocked and organized. Bright. The children's through YA sections and local subjects/authors were particularly strong, but not just for kids.

This book store is designed in a charming way thanks to the staff who care about it. All the employees have been helpful in finding me materials when I have come into the shop plus they have been friendly with smiles. I made a point of returning to this store during my latest visit to the area because of the staff's attitude and helpfulness along with the fact that the shop looks cute. Check it out.
