Unprecedented kindness and care for my rescue pit-mix 6 year old Banjo! Banjo has a hard history and is very afraid of someone he doesn’t know coming near him with anything in their hands like a stethoscope etc. But Dr Kate Connoll took the time on our first and introductory visit to let him get to know her, sitting on the floor with him, taking him for a walk and just gentle kindness altogether. He ended the visit by wagging at her and trying to sit on her lap! I was THRILLED! This is soooo important, because previously he had to be put to sleep for even a nail clipping! Which is not only expensive but not really good for him and very stressful for me as well! We are taking our time, Dr Kate is going slowly with multiple visits to get him his shots etc.and it’s working! I am beyond grateful! Before it felt like I had to “ delay care” until he was sedated and had everything done all at once. Now we can pop in for a routine checkup or something like an eye infection ( recently) so he can be treated as other dogs would be. It’s a MIRACLE! Thank you ARK! The whole vibe there is GREAT! We are so glad we found you!

My pet and I always have a positive experience at Ark, regardless of the circumstance. When we have a health issue, it is addressed promptly. They are of course knowledgeable and professional, but also kind, compassionate & understanding. I am very grateful to have such an outstanding team taking care of my pet!

I brought my dog here pre pregnancy to have a reputable clinic to monitor her and her puppies. They were generally easy to reach and schedule with throughout the pregnancy. I was excited to work with a clinic that seemed professional and compassionate. The first time i took the puppies to get checked they gave them wormer and tested for worms at the same visit. A redundant and conveniently more expensive option, which i overlooked. I have since been there twice. Once recommended by the doctor (unnecessarily) and once to spend 700$ on lyme testing and medication. This most recent time i was running late so i called ahead saying i was running a few minutes behind. They said ok. Then they called 5 minutes later as i was pulling in yo say if i wasn't there in 5 minutes they'd have to reschedule ok i said. I walked in the door 30 seconds later 8 minutes late to my appointment and they said i was too late and would have to reschedule, even though their policy is 10-15 minutes. I pleaded with them and received no understanding or accommodation. I was gaslighted and told that they keep a record of when people are late and this was why i wasn't being accommodated. This type of discrimination is absurd and dangerous. I was not impacting any other patients time. they clearly were just overbooked and were willing to take it out on a habitually "microlate client" which i actually am not. Ive been there 4 times over the past year and a half and ive been 5 minutes late twice.

We have three dogs seen at this practice and I can’t recommend Dr. Ogawa enough. She clearly values her co-workers, treats everyone with kindness and respect, and is committed to finding treatment plans that work for the pet and the owner. I have worked in vet clinics and have seen vets disregard owners advocacy for their pets and push unnecessary costly treatments; not so at Ark! We are really happy with the practice as a whole and have deep gratitude for Dr. Ogawa.

Ark is always there when we need them. Not only are they very good at taking care of our pets medical needs, everyone there shows kindness and compassion at every visit. Ark understand that our pets are our family.

Jake one of my boys(dog)has low grade mass cell cancer; I like that they document where every lump, bump, skin tag is on him. Dozer my other boy they've helped some w/ his SEVERE anxiety, I really wish they could/would help more so I could do more w/ my Therapy boy Jake before like I did before I got Dozer as puppy..aswell as do things w/ Dozer. People tell me get rid of Dozer if he's that bad...well would you just get rid of your child if it were the same situation; my pups love me unconditionally & vise versa! I'd never give up on them like they dont give up on me!!???Jake loves his car rides w/ mom, taking walks; if I could do it w/ both them together I would in heartbeat! I have walk them individually bc they're both large dogs, taking walks w/ both together is too difficult; car rides for Dozer is traumatic for him so I take him in the car as little as possible. They've helped w/ my cat who was diagnosed recently w/ Diabetes.The only downfall I find w/ them is their charges are extremely higher then other vets in the area; it makes it difficult for someone on a set monthly S.S. income!

We've been bringing our cats to Ark for almost 10 years. The staff and vets are so compassionate, thoughtful, and communicative. We couldn't be happier with the care they provide to our cats and the time they spend with us problem-solving and explaining options.

I brought my dog here for the first time after picking him up from a rescue. He’s very timid after everything he’s been through. All the staff were so kind and gentle with him!
