Terrible customer service desk. Seems under-staffed. Ordered online and still had to wait 30 min to get the access code for the locker.

I unfortunately ordered an item from Home Depot and had it shipped 50 miles away to the Rutland store. Luckily, we enjoy going to Rutland so, no big deal. We browsed the store and located a vanity that we were looking for. The store was well stocked. Picking up the tool I ordered was less than pleasant. The customer service gal was a bit standoffish and not super pleasant to us or her coworker. Anyway,it was not a bad trip to Rutland.

Can't find it? Good luck. Staff is so rude and nobody wants to answer a page or the phone.

If you are going to have self checkout you need to respect and trust your customers. Felt extremely uncomfortable today with the woman who kept questioning if my husband and I scanned our items (which we had) and then proceeded to come over and double scan said items "to double check" as if we were being dishonest. The woman scanned 2 items to check that had been previously scanned and when the screen showed that they had in fact been scanned to purchase no apology was given for her misunderstanding. On the walk out I attempted to share that I was made to feel uncomfortable with the associate at the door and was told "I'm sorry that you're so upset". I spoke in a very calm kind tone to both associates and even expressed to the associate at the door that I understood this wasnt her fault or wrong doing. I am a retail manager of almost 20 years and while I understand the importance of shrink prevention it is not at the cost of your good paying customers comfort and respect. I spent $500 there today and my husband is a tradesman who spends a lot of money there and will not be returning here because of this experience.

Self checkout at this location should be shut down as when you try to checkout you are harassed by their employees as they think you are trying to steal items from them. If you want to eliminate theft in your store, then hire some cashiers and eliminate the self checkout. Additionally, this store is always a mess - pallets of merchandise blocking isles, no large carts available as they all have merchandise sitting on them. Not sure who the Manager is of this location, but this store needs help!

Entering Home Depot in Rutland, Vermont has become an odd experience. Five years ago, this location had friendly, long-standing staff who clearly enjoyed their work. However, with the arrival of a new manager Nic Foley, things took a negative turn. He seemed overly rigid and tried to overhaul the store. His approach involved firing employees to build a new team, but he ultimately couldn't handle the pressure and quit. It's unfortunate that he claimed superiority over others, only to end up being the worst manager Rutland has ever seen. Let's hope for improvements in the future for the Rutland store.

Home Depot: the place where houses stop so passengers can get on and off as they travel around the county. Oh, wait, it’s just a big box store that sells some of, but not all of what you need to complete a home building project? Yeah, I think that’s right. You want some help while you’re there wondering around looking for answers? Sorry, but we all decided a long time ago that saving a couple bucks was a good trade off for service, so you’re on you own. The good thing is that with this hands off approach you can literally walk around the store building your creations using their materials and tools and revel in joy as the person at the check out counter tips their head in confusion at what you dumped on the counter. Oh wait, that doesn’t exist anymore. You’ll have to scan all the parts you assembled yourself. Okay have fun, and make sure you put hardware back in the wrong bins after you open them up to try them out.

Bought a zero turn. They couldn't find the key, they had nobody with any knowledge to walk us through getting started. Nobody helped us load it onto the trailer.Wouldn't accept my 24 month interest free offer that I had. Will think long and hard before buying from them
