My cat needed her teeth cleaned and someone I know suggested Eastwood because they don't charge as much as the vets around my town. I made an appt, brought her in. The date for the procedure was today, Thurs. Tues I called to get instructions- when to stop feeding her, drop off time, etc. "Someone will call you back." Wednesday comes, I call back..I got the same "someone will call you."
No one ever called until this morning when I was asked what time I'll be dropping her off.
I won't be dropping her off. If they're not professional enough to call me with simple instructions, they're certainly not professional enough to treat my cat.
By the way, the reviews where people complained about the clinic itself.. I agree. It's very small, cramped and uncomfortable. The lady vet we saw was nice but the state of the clinic is the worst I've ever seen.
I'll pay more to get my cats teeth cleaned, but I'm sure she'll be taken good care of and I'll be respected.

I love this clinic. My animals are always well taking care of and I am always. Treated with kindness and respect. The staff is very helpful and provide lots of education regarding my pets in any emailments they may have. I actually like the new system in your car, I feel that it is less stressful for my animal and I am to use any late time working on my phone answering emails barbecue calls so I do not mind any delays that might occur.

Dr Bruce is everything.
No other vet could compare.
While it does take a while to see him, it is worth every second

Call upon arrival to alert staff. The waiting room is now closed, so be prepared to wait in a vehicle, or on the bench near the entrance. The entrance is conveniently marked with a sign.
Wait times vary. We have been seen immediately, and also had to wait beyond our appointed time. Eastwood takes emergencies, appointments, and call aheads, in that order. Plan ahead, be prepared.
I don't mind waiting when I have to, as Eastwood is a force for good in the community. If one of my cats was in need of immediate attention, I know Dr. Bruce (aka Dr. Dolots) and other staff would see us right away.
Dr. Bruce is kind, courteous, and Canadian. Eastwood's staff are also kind and courteous, but I don't know if anyone else is from Canada. One of his staff met me halfway to deliver medication that the Elder Cat needed. I didn't have a car, was on sore feet, and the last bus of the day had already made its rounds.
Before discovering Eastwood, we regularly visited two other veterinary practices. We had always paid our bill at the end of each visit. When my financial situation became dire, neither would see us without cash or a credit card... I had neither at that time.
The Elder Statescat has infiltrative bowel disease, so I was almost desperate. That's when someone told me about Eastwood.
Dr. Dolots is able to give shots to both Elder and Hissy before they even know what is happening, which is a relief. Hissy Cat doesn't always hiss, which is impressive. I feel like he spends as much time with my beloved felines as needed, and he answers all questions.
Eastwood allows me to make payments. I am so grateful for this, as I live on a fixed income that doesn't stretch far enough. I'm able to pay down debt over time without racking-up an astronomical interest rate.
Dr. Dolots doesn't limit himself to cats and dogs. I have seen a small goat enter Eastwood, various dogs and cats, and have heard of other species he's treated. It can be entertaining watching who or what enters and leaves.
I highly recommend Eastwood Animal Clinic!

Make sure to bring a tent and a picnic bc appointment times don’t mean anything. I arrived on time for my appointment and didn't get seen for 2 HOURS. The appointment before that I waited an hour. Interior is very outdated and worn and place reeks of urine. Think of Doctors Without Borders but for pets.
Update: we sadly had to cremate our beloved rabbit and even more sadly had to use Eastwood Animal Clinic for the cremation. Our rabbit’s ashes were returned to us in a gallon sized freezer bag which was not even closed properly and HIS ASHES WERE SPILLING OUT. It is so hard losing a pet, but when you then have what is left of your pet returned to you in a state of disregard to his dignity and worth it is even that much more heartbreaking. I was looking forward to brining our bun’s ashes home, thinking it will give us some comfort/closure of having him with us again. The state he was returned to us in… I didn’t think it was possible for my heart to break more than it already was, but thanks to Eastwood Animal Clinic a new low was achieved.

Today I got lucky. I got the chance to add years of health onto an old cat, a best life friend of mine. Thank you Eastwood.
