Not a good place to buy a car. They won't tell you the truth about your trade in. They deny they manipulate you like any other dealership. And don't care if you're satisfied. I feel like I was just a number so they sold another car. Very frustrating. And apparently they also don't care about a poor review. I would or recommend them to anyone. I regret buying a car from them. I feel I was ripped off on the value of my car. They claim transparency but offer no proof of trade in value. They lower trade in value so they don't lose money. And they lie about fees. I was literally lied to about the fees then given a spiel quoting company policy by every single employee. You will feel like a number here. Don't go.

I came in from out of State last year and had major issues down South with repair done at a different dealership on my GMC DIESEL 2021. I have to write to say thank you to the team of people helping me with a truck, I ended up selling that was in memory of my father, a Vietnam Vet. The professionalism was so amazing and work, that I will be purchasing a GMC again, regardless of past issues from a different dealership. Thank you! Looking forward to the day we upgrade that Diesel.

On 3/8/2023 I was offered an amount for a trade in on may car I thought was a less than I wanted but fair so I accepted. I was told I needed to put a $1000 deposit down. I was also advised by their salesman I needed a to provide personal information so they could have to paperwork prepared and ready to go on 3/10/2023 but that my credit information would be run the day of the transaction. well that was a lie the dealership ran my credit twice on that very day, so they are liars I specifically asked and was told they were just collecting the information to get the paperwork prepared but not actually going to run it. Then two days later (3/10/2023) when it was time to bring my trade in and complete the transaction, the dealership calls that morning saying they had made a mistake and couldn't do the deal and wanted me to pay more. Avoid this dealership at all cost. Cannot be trust they will say anything and lie to make a buck then pretend like they didn't say it. The sales manager Dave is just as bad pretends he didn't know anything like it's not his job to manage you guessed it the sales. AVOID at all costs!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE - Do not do business with them. I spent days going back and forth with them about a used vehicle (Jeep Gladiator). I'm 3 hours away and setup a time to go see the vehicle. Not once did they ask me if I'd like to put a deposit on it to hold it. I got all of my ducks in a row to take a 3 hour drive to VT this morning and they called at 7:20am to tell me it was gone. Last night at 6:00 they told me that no one bought it so I was safe to make the trip. How did it sell between 6pm when they were closed and 7:20am? I was supposed to make a trip for work and canceled that to go buy this truck. If they were wiling to take a deposit then why not offer me the same courtesy so I didn't waste days getting everything lined up to buy this truck? HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Justin at Alderman’s was wonderful to deal with; making our buying experience very easy. We will definitely be purchasing from him again! The dealership is extremely professional. Very honest, and their customer service is excellent! Five stars!

great customer service!! awesome but Disappointing in the undercoating because my sister had hers done the stuff was clear and it was all in her doors every metal crevice of her car... was covered and all I could see were on my panels of my tires and then they were only half coverd... there was no coating on my running boards which actually have metal Bars that are attached to the undercarriage ... No coating whatsoever, I was all excited to do this to a used car... for it to last longer here in Vermont

Although their prices are good, I wouldn't recommend purchasing from them based on poor customer service. If you have issues after the purchase, they will not work with you!

Excellent service! They aren’t pushy to get you into a vehicle. They listen to what you want on top of what your budget is! Highly recommend!

Do not do business at Alderman's Chevrolet. They are unethical and will steal your money. My father used Alderman's for years to lease his vehicles, but they repaid him for his loyalty very cruelly. When my father was ninety years old, the salesman, Nick, continued to call him every few months to try to entice him into an early lease termination and an upgrade. My father does not get a lot of phone calls, and he succumbed to Nick's suggestion of an improved ride. My sister, who was my father's primary caregiver, got wind of it and asked my dad to wait a day until she would be able to go to the dealership with him. Nick told my father that the deal could not wait and he needed to come in that day to sign it. My father leased a new Buick with bells-and-whistles that he could not learn to use. In addition, his primary caregiver could not drive the car because the trunk space was inadequate for her walker. The salesman did not suggest a co-lessee, even though my father was clearly near the end of his life. My father, Phil Pope, was an educated and respected man, but everyone loses some of their cognitive ability at the age of ninety. Shame on you, Alderman's, for taking advantage of him! After one year of a three-year lease we had to take the keys away from my father due to dementia. No one else could use the car, because there was no co-lessee, and Dad's primary caregiver could not fit her walker in the trunk. She could not even use the car to drive him around! After eighteen months of a three-year lease my father passed away. That was seventeen months ago. At first I tried to return the car in return for a prorated amount of the prepaid lease. Chevrolet told me that we were welcome to return the car, but we would not get any money back. A family member has been using the car, since it is prepaid and there is no refund. The shenanigans are not over! Now we would like to exercise our option to purchase the vehicle at lease end. We have been on the phone with Alderman's constantly for the last month trying to make this happen. We were told that a beneficiary of my father's estate would be able to buy out the lease. However, we are constantly told, "I will get back to you next week with the details." The men in the finance department are very courteous on the phone; in fact I will not name names, because I think the problem is corporate, not the fault of these local personnel. To summarize, please do NOT do business with Alderman's Chevrolet in Rutland. They unethically talked an old man into a three-year prepaid lease with no co-lessee. Then, when the estate tried to buy out the lease, they were obstructionist at every turn.

I simply couldn't think of a better way to buy a car than going to Alderman's Chevrolet! From the first moment I arrived to the last handshake, every part of the car buying experience was beyond my expectations. I feel lucky to have visited Alderman's Chevrolet, and I will undoubtedly be back again for any other car purchases and service. What impressed me the most during my visit was the combination of extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff at Alderman's Chevrolet. From the first moment I drove up in my car I was looking to trade-in, the sales representative Jim McKearin was outside at the door ready to greet me, standing next to the car reserved for me to test drive. I instantly felt important and valued at Alderman's from the very start. And I noticed in particular how well every staff person I spoke, especially Jim McKearin, knew about the electric vehicle line of cars with Chevrolet. This has been rare to find in my experience at other dealerships, and it showed me that the people at Alderman's Chevrolet truly know and care about their cars. I also spoke with several other staff members at Alderman's Chevrolet, who each had a welcoming and friendly approach. When speaking with them about my history and thoughts on the Bolt EV line of cars, they were genuinely interested in engaging with what I was looking for in a new car. There was never a hint of pressure to buy a certain car, or any feeling of being oversold. I later found out that one of the kindest staff members that I spoke with was the manager David, who would later help me and Jim finalize the purchase I ended up making. After test driving the excellent new electric Bolt EV that Chevrolet has made, I was surprised by just how much time the staff at Alderman's Chevrolet were willing to give to help me with every step of the car buying experience. This went far beyond anything I have encountered before at a dealership, as Jim and I went through every part of getting setup and ready to drive the new car home that day. From switching insurance to setting up Onstar, I have never had such thorough service that made me feel truly valued. I have used car buying online before with Carvana, and the difference in quality at Alderman's Chevrolet is staggering. Instead of just another anonymous number in an online system, Alderman's Chevrolet makes you feel like a person is truly helping you find the right car. As we worked together with the awesome financial team at Alderman's Chevrolet to find a deal on the new vehicle and trade-in, every step felt efficient and transparent. I felt comfortable with the sense that there was no gamesmanship or trying to get a sales up-charge in any way. And during that time, I overheard another sales representative on the phone with customer support. This sales representative was trying to help an existing Alderman's Chevrolet customer by calling GM for them, and working through an issue that was taking hours to resolve. I couldn't believe how helpful he was to a customer who wasn't even in the building, and try to resolve his issue to save him the trouble of calling customer support. This really told me I was in the right place to buy my next car. I couldn't be happier with the experience that I had at Alderman's Chevrolet. There is truly no aspect of the visit, test drive, decision making, and purchase that I would have changed or could imagine how to make it better. The team at Alderman's Chevrolet has made it a best place to buy a car, and I will certainly be back again!

I got my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit from Alderman’s about a month ago. The buying experience was great and quick. Yesterday my check engine light came on and I was concerned as I’ve only had it a month. They got me right in this morning and looked it over, even went as far as to call the local Jeep dealership to make sure they weren’t missing anything, and just delivered my vehicle back to me at work. Hassle free, wonderful service all around.

Does not honor warranties. Told us bad information when they couldn't figure out what was wrong with our truck. After trying them 6 times, we went somewhere else who fixed it in one trip.

Very poor customer service person I was dealing with didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. Let me test drive the truck I was looking at an do paperwork on it an just as he's going to run my credit to finalize the paperwork he tells me someone has money down on the truck an I'm second in line to buy it. Like why would you have me test drive a truck that already has a deposit on it because pretty sure that's not allowed an goes against the point of a deposit an also why would you waste my time with paperwork an wanna run my paperwork/credit if it's sold to that guy that's a waste an hurts my credit. Not very happy with the time spent here no communication at all just a waste of 3 hours plus let alone my hour drive to get there.
