The only thing I don’t like is that they are not open all time. Especially when some one needs to go.

I moved from California and had to get warm weather clothes in a hurry. This thrift store had great clothes at great prices! Now I invite my friend from Middlebury to shop there and she never goes away disappointed. When we went on a cruise this spring, I got my cruise wear there. Now as I pack up to return home I will save only the best to go to the Richmond FS&TS. And it benefits a good community cause! Kitty

The Richmond Food Shelf and Thrift Store is as good as thrift stores get! I'm from San Francisco where thrift stores abound, and I've not seen a better one on the east coast than this little shop in Richmond. If you're in the neighborhood, or close by in Burlington, VT, this is the place to go for clothes and shoes. They even have jewelry, purses, belts, and a whole bunch of other items I did not even get a chance to check out. Their clothing is top quality (I had three practically new winter coats I was choosing from) and at incredibly low prices. And best of all, proceeds go to the food bank they run out of the thrift store, to which you can also donate while paying for your ridiculously cheap new duds. I got a warm winter coat and a pair of oxfords for $11!! The ladies working their were also great and helped this California girl find a nice winter coat. Get yourself to Richmond for some great deals and support a good cause!
