I have been a dedicated SmartWool sock fanatic for years…. but only because I didn’t yet know about DarnTough socks !!! Now, I’d rather spend my money on DarnTough because they really last. I’ve had some of my SW socks for years (not wearing those socks more than once weekly/pair & they’re wearing out or just getting holes in them) and am no longer in love with them universally. I still LOVE SmartWool’s PhD version for the very intelligent design supporting the arch and reinforcing the heel and toe areas! I wish DarnTough would copy that design, specifically the arch support aspect as it makes a huge impact on my feet insofar as the comfort of my feet after a long day on my feet in my comfortably worn-in work boots / shoes.

Annual sock sale at Cabot Hosiery Mills is clearly a wonderful tradition for Vermont families to stock up on warm socks! While some a4e off at deer camp, plenty of men and women come here to save, get ready for skiing and board season ahead!

Annual sock sale at Cabot Hosiery Mills is clearly a wonderful tradition for Vermont families to stock up on warm socks! While some a4e off at deer camp, plenty of men and women come here to save, get ready for skiing and board season ahead! The quality of " DARN Tough" socks is great. I go there about every 2 years, since these socks last! Make sure to wear a warm jacket, since you may need to wait in line. Today the wait wasn't bad...I recommend going on Sunday.

We have purchased at two of their annual sock sales because of the great bargains. They make, by far, the most comfortable and durable socks we've ever worn. Worth the price at retail. I would like to hear their answer to Jeffrey's review. The only other less than great review appears to be a mistake in applying stars.
