As newcomers to both Vermont and rural living, we knew we needed some big help. As in BIG equipment to help tame and maintain the beauty of our new acreage property. Please read this to the end as I have amended my review, I must have called a different place than these satisfied people. I was lied to 3 times and ended out very dissatisfied. I called to make an appt. to have the belt put back on my tractor and was told that it would be picked up that Thursday. I waited a couple days and then called and was told they were very busy and that I would probably see it by Tues. the next week. OK I'm a reasonable person I just wished I had been told that from the start. I waited to call until the following Wed. and was told by Steve, I believe that, yeah we got a gator in here but yours is the next one in. A week later I got an estimate to fix my tractor. I never asked for an estimate, I asked for the belt to be put back on and for a spring tune up. I was told it would be about $1000 to get my tractor back. I waited several days and finally called and talked to James and I told him I didn't think it was wise to spend that kind of money on a 18 year old tractor that I bought for &1600 and that I would have a friend to pick it up and was told I could have it for the $75 pick up fee. I was then told by James yes I could and he asked me if I would be interested in a salesman calling me and giving me a trade in value for my tractor and I said sure. Never heard a thing. When my friend went to pick up the tractor he was told to pay $148 instead of the $75 I was told. And some of the cost was for the estimate I never asked for. I bought a Cub Cadet I really love. I always had good service before United took over but my chances of walking in that business ever again is not likely.
I will now amend my review as the company, specifically Cody, called me and apologized for the problem we had. As I had already bought a tractor he offered me the $148.00 back as an alternate plan. I have received the payment and would like to say that I appreciate the offer and would like to say that I would deal with them again. I changed the star rating to two because the experience overall was still on the negative side but I appreciate the concern they showed and what I believe was an honest approach at reconciliation. A recent experience with service on my lawn tractor did not initially meet my expectations. However, I very much appreciate that, once the General Manager became aware of my issue, he took immediate action to address my concerns. Given the specific circumstances of my tractor repair, I can still only give an overall rating of 3 stars, but I am happy to say that the GM's personal effort to make things right has gone a long way to restoring my confidence in United Ag and Turf, and the service that they provide.

I wanted to take a minute and thank United AG in Newport VT for going above and beyond! My Tractor was for NY second hand with only a few hrs. The NY dealer had made a mistake on the power behind and wouldn’t pull through to own up. Newport VT United AG fixed the mistake and didn’t charge a dime and the service was outstanding! Highly recommend!
