We stayed over President’s Day weekend in the larger cabin-3 that slept 5 very comfortably. Everything was perfect and I cannot say enough about how great the hosts Christine and Chuck were. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a 5-star experience. Will 100% be staying at the muddy moose again.

Fantastic accommodations! Very dog friendly! Nice hiking trails right on the property. The whole area is beautiful. Ending up waking up to much snow and no power and response from the owners was prompt and we felt safe the whole time. Would highly recommendRooms: The cabin is lovely, quiet and has just about everything you could need.Nearby activities: Lots to do in the are, ended up running out of time.Walkability: 2.3 miles of dirt road that is walkable with nice views plus several hiking trails

I recently stayed at one of their cabins in early October. It was a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend them. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you might need including extras. It was very nice to see them using eco-friendly and bio-degradable products. Everything was clean and very comfortable. A binder is left for you that provides all kinds of information. Also included is a washer / dryer and laundry soap is provided. Bathroom is a good size, water pressure is good. Regular size bedroom with a comfortable bed. Fireplace is great and the ceilings fans are great to have. My communication with them via email, specifically Maureen, was exceptional. The outside porch and the view are exceptional. They always replied in a timely manner and with urgency, I really appreciated that. I sent them some suggestions / recommendations that would help in making this cabin exceptional.The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star-rating is that the cabin photos on their website are misleading. I assumed that the cabins were far apart. That's one of the reasons that drew me to the cabin; right away I thought this would be great for my dog to run around. When I booked my reservation back in February for October, I remember asking about that and I was told that was the case. That's not the case, the cabins are pretty close to each other. I also think their binder was missing information. I still liked this place and would highly recommend it and I would go back.

Beautiful property set far enough from town to feel isolated while still being close to all of the amenities in Stowe and Morristown. You will instantly feel at home from the warm welcome at check-in and the well appointment cabins. We've stayed twice and it has been a game changer on our trips to Vermont.Nearby activities: Close to Stowe. Highly recommend Little River Hot glass for a glass blowing class. Stowe golf and bowl are great for the family.Walkability: Lots of trails on the property

Wonderful, private and clean space.Felt very safe and private. Newer construction and cabin was spotlessly clean.Tons of trails. The barn had activities to keep everyone busy. Some others said the beds weren’t comfortable but that wasn’t the case for us. We all slept soundly every night. Everything worked. Kitchen and bathroom had everything needed including a first aid kit. They even clean up the grills after you bbq which was unnecessary but very much appreciated!Trails up by the pond were a bit overgrown and buggy but the ones behind and down into the woods were lovely and had been recently mowed.Hosts were super friendly and helpful and available if you needed more supplies or assistance with anything. We were there for more nights than I guess most other stays, so they went out of their way to make sure we had the supplies we needed and turned out to be the perfect amount.10/10 would recommend and would stay again.

Really well maintained cabins and property! The prices are extremely fair as well. The beds weren't the most comfy, so if you have back problems or anything you may want to bring an air mattress or mattress topper for comfort. But otherwise everything was super.

We’re from the South and wanted to experience snow and bitter cold for just a weekend but in a cozy cabin and Muddy Moose was perfect! Tons of thoughtful details throughout the well-maintained property. The trail system right off the cabin which led to a frozen waterfall was a great activity (if you’re not into winter sports), and a good workout to have a cold Heady Topper (cult like following beer of Vermont) on the cozy front porch overlooking the frozen pond. Everything was comfortable and immaculately clean, with friendly owners!

We have stayed at Muddy Moose many times over the last 8 years. It’s our favorite spot! Chuck and Christine are the best hosts and the cabins are super clean and cozy! Don’t forget to check out the Moose Barn! Always looking forward to our next visit! Cabin 1 is our favorite!
