“Nelson Ace Hardware is a class act!I’ve been going there a few years to get things for work and am blown away by the friendly attentive customer service , which is the complete opposite of other places I’ve been…I’ve met a lot of awesome dogs there over the years and realized mine hadn’t been there as I’m usually there on the clock so brought her down this morning as I needed a couple keys made and we both left on cloud 9!!!Thank you Bob Nelson and staff for all that you , Happy Holidays!”
“If you can get over the fact that this place looks like it was abandoned during the dust bowl , you can see that’s it’s actually a pretty amazing little store. They have everything from snacks and deli items, fishing gear to hardware and some clothing items. The sandwiches are pretty good as well . A nice surprise find in a rural area.”
“Admittedly I often try to avoid Aubuchons as their prices seem to be significantly higher than most competitors, even small local hardware stores (hence the 4/5 instead of 5*). I realize the employees have absolutely nothing to do with this, and I have to give a big shout out to Janet and the South Barre store for being enormously helpful with a variety of window screens that I have been bringing in in various states of disrepair. They (and especially Janet) are polite, helpful and their prices--at least for screen repair--seem significantly better than a variety of other stores and even online. Thanks y'all!”
“They often have the items that we are looking for as long as it doesn't have to be something very specific they carry a good general inventory. It is good to support a local business rather than the big box stores the food is pretty decent but quite pricey”
“It's like a Lowe's and Home Depot, Walmart; and Woolworths, eBay, Amazon, and Etsy; and the northern tool, Sears roebuck, and Service Merchandise catalog all wrapped together... in a smaller set of buildings. To say this place has everything would only put a false limit on what is there. If you need a 2x4, tarp, battery for a tool, or a new pair of hunting boots... Come on in don't drive to three or four stores call them or so by here first. You will save a lot in gas and time.”
