Otter Creek Yoga with Joanne is the place to go to stretch your body and calm your mind. Joanne is an excellent instructor. She is particularly good with us whose bodies are aging.

In the last seven years, OCY has become an important and essential part of my life. Not only do I rely on my weekly yoga classes to center me, we can rely on Joanna, Chessy, Jen, and other instructors to give us individual instruction in any size class. Joanna runs a connected, empathetic business with community-oriented values. This studio is an important gathering place in town. I cherish my post-class conversations with community members and a warm cup of homemade tea.

Otter Creek Yoga is one of the hubs of our community. I first attended while pregnant and benefitted both physically and mentally from Joanna's warmth and expertise. My children have attended kids' classes, and I've participated in several of the many community-supporting events hosted in the beautiful space. I can't think of a better place to connect with yourself and with others, to disconnect from the stress of the world, and to nurture the body and soul. So grateful for all that Joanna and Otter Creek Yoga's talented, committed array of teachers does for our county!

You really have to ask yourself why some people are so angry about criticisms of racism, that they lash out and attack - not the actual racists - but the people who are challenging it. Anyway, had a great experience at Otter Creek Yoga. Strongly recommend if you want to find somewhere to center yourself. Sadly, the plethora of One Star trolls are dragging the review down to a non-representative average.

Joanna is one of the kindest beautiful souls I have ever had the pleasure of sharing bread with. Any who doubt her personal beauty in the eyes of Truth are surely no friend of mine and I do say to you I shake my sandals of dust as I walk away from the blatant negativity, failure of compassion, and hostility the one Star reviews represent.

This business has fallen victim to a flood of reviewers saying things like “don't go here if you're whiteâ€. False negative reviews are easily weeded out, so please take the time to go through and check out the REAL reviews about the BUSINESS. The people involved in this studio are lovely and work hard to provide a fantastic, peaceful, and education service in their community!

I'm spending my summer at Middlebury college, and Otter Creek yoga! I love this place; relaxing atmosphere, the instructors I have talked to are very attentive and amicable. I specially enjoy Chessy's vinyasa classes. Her classes are always different in so many levels. I totally recommend her.

I went to Russell's class last week, and it was great! The class was well paced and had great variety. Russell did a great job of giving everyone some individual attention even though it was a fairly full class. The studio was clean and a nice space.

i've known Joanna since the mid 90's. She was one of the best Yoga teachers in the Bay Area. She left a major impression on her students when she taught at the Yoga Studio. She is a very open hearted spirit and gives you the space and guidance to express a wonderful yoga practice. I would still be taking classes with her if she had stayed in the Bay Area.
