Rented ski in/ski out condo for 6 people in Killington Sunrise village (expensive). Missing sheets on one of the beds (necessary to sleep 6 people), missing garbage bags (instead small bags that do not fit the can). 4 dining table chairs, dishes not enough for 6, all that in the unit rented and described as unit for 6. In short, in the era of Airbnb, totally substandard. Go Airbnb even if it is a bit more expensive (do not repeat our mistake).

The fireplace in the unit had a lock on it because it wasn’t inspected. The rental company did not even attempt to do anything to make it right.

We booked a place with Killington Rental Associates through AirBnB for our ski trip. Everything went smoothly until more than a month later when they contacted us and asked US to cancel the reservation because they had sold the location we had reserved. This is after imposing a STRICT cancellation policy on us that required us to pay at least 50% of the rental costs (thousands of dollars) if we cancelled at any point for any reason. But they had no issue pulling the rug out from under us. Not only did they cancel on us, but they tried to circumvent AirBnB to try and pin the cancellation on us.They offered us a refund on our booking, or similar (but not as nice) stays in a different area that would have costs us even more money out of pocket. We were committed to the trip, and ended up having to find a new stay that cost us hundreds more (not with Killington Rental Associates of course), or lose the trip entirely. I am not sure how they find it acceptable to simply dump us on the street, offering no more than a refund, when they had the guts to enforce such a strict cancellation policy on their guests.I will certainly not be booking through such an unprofessional rental agency in the future, I'd rather not be left stranded for a vacation again. I've never heard of a rental agency that simply sells the vacation rental you booked without honoring the rentals.

I would highly advise against using KRA due to their unprofessionalism. My group had a reservation set for this winter however the owner of the property sold and KRA told us to cancel when we had already paid thousands. When a property sells and it has reservations the least they could do is sell it with a clause that lets the rentals continue as they were booked until the season is over. All of that and they didn’t even offer us a discount on a similar place when they cancelled our group.

I will never rent again and will encourage all my friends and family back home in CT and MA to never rent here again. The state of Vermont restricts out of state travelers and this company will not comply with those rules. Because it is only an honor system they have encouraged us to rebook our rental or face losing $1600. They want, and are encouraging Floridians to come from FL to VT for 3 days without quarantining or face losing all your money. This is crazy. Why should they keep our money because we choose to follow the rules set out by the government of VT. We didn't ask for a refund only an extension of the credit. I am still in awe of a company that acts this way. Take your money elsewhere there are plenty of other rental company's leasing property in VT that would comply with state rules.

Absolutely horrible experience with Killington Rental Associates. Lisa should be ashamed of the business practices out forth toward customers. At the height of the pandemic with closures and travel limitations, our money was kept hostage and a complete refusal for a refund. Do yourself the favor and book with Airbnb as they are much more understanding and will work with you. At this point there's no excuse to not work with customers during a time like this and the greed of this company was shown in full force.

Not a fan of this place. My friends went skiing here and didn’t invite me. When I called the manager to tell her she said that “there was nothing she could do about it” won’t be coming to this place, sorry

Updating my review. Dealing with difficulties due to the pandemic. Without getting into details, spoke to Lisa Jamison today and had a good conversation. Do not know what the final result will be regarding the Pandemic issues and our rental for the holiday weekend, but she listened to my concerns and we had a good conversation.
