My girlfriend and her kid went into the store so I started cleaning out my car the owner walked out and was complaining that I throw away "my shit" and didn't even look how much I threw away which was only 10 percent of the empty can they had out front and told me she had to pay for it. I was like OK being nice even though she was being rude then walk in to tell my girlfriend and her son to put there stuff back and let's go the customer she was talking to who was the one obviously telling her i was throwing away a bunch of trash looks at me and tells me to close the door and looking at me like I was some kind of cockroach it took everything in me to just walk away and not do anything crazy dont go here if they can't even afford to empty a trash can from there customers there is no wonder what other corners they will cut hope this place closes down also told my girlfriend she had to pay for the coffee she poured when I told them to put stuff back I let her but no I did not have to you lost my business my friends and hopefully you go out of business imagine being a gm/owner and going on a power trip lolUpdate : no I did not fill up your trash bin if you looked it was about 10 percent full which was just leftover drinks and bags from the kids lunch you were also rude and not even nice about it while I was avoiding the conflict by just saying OK then I walk In with the customer who I later found out was the owner looking at me with disgust as I walk in telling me to close the door when every store I've ever been to it closes itself I've never had a worse experience at a store in my life also my girlfriend is just scared of conflict she was just going throughout her day just like me and agreed with me after maybe you should rethink owning a convince store if you can't even pay to have your customer's throw as I said like not even 15 percent of your trash bin up while shopping at your store don't worry you won't see a dime from me we going straight to eden general where I'll throw my maybe 3 or 4 handfuls of trash away and not treated like some cockroach and looked down on worst customer service I've ever seen and yes I do hope because the owner not an employee acting like this is crazy also don't leave out the rude tone you came at me with and the "your shit" without any can you please or thank you I've never written a review or even raised my tone or yelled at anyone and everyone who knows me knows I'm the most calm person so it's again you and that guy looking at me like some kind of cockroach that set me off which I don't apologize for

This country store consistently packs an impressive collection of provisions for outdoor recreation and last minute needs, on VT RTE 100C at 100 intersection. This includes an epic cold beverage wall of choices, coffee bar, food supplies, snacks, household supplies, freezers with ice cream, bagged ice, tobacco products, propane, even an ATM. Fuel up and go with reasonable prices on gas with the newest chip-reading pumps. Plenty of well-lit, paved parking. Family run, friendly service for...decades.

The employee couldn’t have been more rude when enforcing the $5 min card policy (that is not clearly notated.) Instead of informing me and letting me purchase my coffee just this once, she wasted the coffee and lost a local family to never purchase coffee nor gas again.

Owner was caught yelling and screaming at a mother and her child while we got groceries. It was the most uncomfortable moment we've had in a store. How do they stay in business?

River valley store has a huge beverage and adult beverage section if coolers, their shelves are always clean and full with basic provisions, ice, propane, food, supplies and so on. They have a sweet coffee bar over in the corner with Green Mountain coffee in several flavors. Though I don't smoke, their prices seem low on tobacco products. The gas pumps out front are modern, clean and they have credit card chip readers, in case you want to just fill up your tank and go. Gas prices are reasonable and their lot is large next to the store, if you want to go in and get some thing or use the ATM.

Great store! I have to stop every time I’m in the area for a coffee and some home made baked goods! Excellent people who truly do care about the community and always great conversation!

Our experience at this store has always been unpleasant. The owners and son are rude, the store is dirty, unorganized and quite frankly trashy and unwelcoming. We’ve been yelled at, seen other harassed or yelled at and honestly aren’t sure why they stay in business. They’re the laughing stock of the area. Go elsewhere, hell run out of gas in the middle of the night before you do business here.

I will not only give the River Valley Store a 5 star but I will give my word that (in my eyes it’s the best store around)! Not only because I have been working with this increadible team for the last 4 months but in the last 4-5 years I go for my coffee and chats with the people around daily! There have been very few days I’ve missed going in! I will NOT get coffee elsewhere! All the employees are very friendly and easy to get along with and in the short 4 months of working for river valley I’ve grown to learn lots of regulars and even new customers and all of witch I’ve interacted with so far very friendly! I am beyond great fun to have this experience and will enjoy everyday I get to go in I feel at home and and that’s the best feeling!!!!! (I love being able to say I LOVE MY JOB)!!!!! And to follow up with comment about a vehicle parked for said hour!!!! It would be very helpful for the customer wanting to park there car and leave to ask the cashier where to park!!! Because parking in front of delivery doors on delivery day for more than 3 hours is what the problem was!!! The owners of the store were kind enough to try to find said owner of the car instead of having it towed!

My cousin & I grew up a town over. We’re locals. We’ve both spend money there because it’s convenient. She parked her car there for less than an hour with every intention on running in & spending money after. THEY MADE A FACEBOOK POST THREATENING TO HAVE HER TOWED. Mind you, she was there for less than an hour & there was plenty of parking. I don’t want to spend my money any where that makes a villain out of locals for something so trivial. Very unwelcoming, very rude. Never had a pleasant experience there, it’s like there mad I walked in or something. Bad vibes. The only plus is it’s the only gas station for miles in every direction. Publicly shaming local paying customers over parking? Do better

I have always had a great experience at this store. They are great caring and hard working people. I love the review from the little brat who used to work there lol. Nothing on their shelves is out of code, they are very strict about it and there is no way to “water down†the gas. There are literally sensors that check for that. It is true they have no public restroom. It had been vandalized a few times in the past so it has been closed. My wife and I love this store and their beer selection is remarkable.
