Absolutely outstanding customer service! Had a product question prior to placing an order, and called the store but went to voicemail. Within a few minutes an employee called me back to help with my question, and was extremely professional, pleasant to deal with, and helpful. I placed the order as soon as I hung up the phone trusting the info they had provided, and have no doubt it will be of high quality. Best of all, their products are made in the USA, and I’m proud to support a company that supports US manufacturing and provides quality products with great service.

Had a chance to buy my first wool jacket from here and what a great experience. I need an alteration on the jacket and the owner was on premises and ensured the alteration was done immediately. I was bowled over on how kind and professional everyone was here. I don’t plan to go anywhere else but here for my wool needs.

I have only bought from this company online, but let me just say this brand is AMAZING!!! You will not find this quality anywhere these days. The fact that this place exists is seriously a miracle. Places like this are worth more than gold, and the fact that you can simply go online to order is a blessing. Thank you so much for supplying America with real clothing again. I plan to tour Vermont this year, and this store is going to be one of my first stops!!

We had company from out of state and at the last minute emailed to see if we could have a tour. Gene (one of the owners) got right back to us and we set up a time. I have to say our tour with Erin (one of the owners) was AMAZING! We have purchased from there several times in the past year and it was interesting to listen to the history and the future plans they have. We had no idea of the behind the scenes work areas etc. If you haven't been, you should take this tour. Great VT history and great products! Thank you Erin!

Bad behavior! One of the worst merchants I've ever dealt with. I wanted to support my local New England business, but when the shirt I ordered from them was lost by the shipper, they basically told me "go screw" and refused to replace the shirt or refund it.
They also send out unsolicited weird political emails from time to time. And the store smells really mildewed, not good if you have mold allergies like me. Recommend buying from Pendleton in Oregon or Fairbault in Minnesota, both first-class professional businesess and made in USA woolen mills.

Johnson Woolen Mills has been sold and the new owners are outstanding. They have reorganized the entire space, in addition to renovating and opening the Sheep’s Den downstairs, offering terrific discounts. These folks have shown they are excited and devoted to being active members in this community from feeding flood victims to offering space in their lobby for free pumpkin pies at Thanksgiving, to giving away loads of beautiful stuffed animal sheep throughout November and December!!! On top of that, they offer wonderful products and their customer service is fantastic and a model for businesses everywhere. Over the moon to welcome Gene, Erin, their crew and enthusiasm and investment in Johnson Woolen Mills and making Johnson Village a destination for residents and guests to Northern Vermont ❤️

First, I need to mention upfront that if you look closely at any reviews of less than five stars, you'll notice that the review was left prior to the new owners stepping in. Sometime in the spring of 2023 Johnson Wollen Mills was purchased by an amazing team that cares VERY much - not only about the product, but also about the town of Johnson. However, most of all they care about the customers -- both old and new. if you talk to anybody in Johnson they're going to tell you about the new & improved Johnson Woolen Mills. It just goes to show you that you can have an amazing product but if you don't have excellent customer service and a great management team behind it, no one will shop more than once. If you've been to JWM before the summer of 2023 you will be truly shocked and amazed at how much cleaner and more spacious and relevant the store is today. And they're just getting started !! I have always been treated with the utmost kindness, respect and with a real desire to get me exactly what I want. I ordered a ton of stuff in early December and I got the box within 3 business days. This rivals Amazon's shipping & I'm a Prime Member. But it's the incredible quality that keeps me going back. I doubt I'll ever have to get a new jacket, but they have so many different products and materials - all with the same lifetime quality, that I may well find that my closet has become a Johnson Woolen Mills dressing room ! I can't say enough about the "new look". It's in the same beautiful New England town, in the same spot overlooking the Gihan river, and many of the seamstresses have been there for decades, but it is an entirely new (and GREATLY improved) vibe. I've never seen such a transformation without changing the quality of the product. Bravo, JWM and thank you from the bottom of a very grateful Vermonter's heart !

Have Bought Here for Many Years, If Your A New England Farmer Your Gonna Want to Shop Here . Yes its Pricey, Old Saying, You Get What You Pay For. Friendly Staff , Friendly Customer Service, Good People, High Quality Clothing. Wouldn’t Go Out To Feed Cows Without a Pair of Johnsons Overalls . Ever in the Winter.

Great store with lots of plaid items for everyone young to old! Carolyn was friendly and helpful. We arrived, just seconds after closing time, but she opened the store back up when she saw us come to the door. The flannel shirts were so soft. A plaid/flannel lovers paradise!!! My husband had a hard time selecting a new hunting coat with all the options both in style and plaids. I selected some potholders and a huge wool/fleece backed blanket which had many color/plaid choices as well. I cannot wait to snuggle up in it this winter. Thanks for a great visit and providing us with a little bit of Vermont to take back home with us!

I've purchased a new cold weather old style hunting outfit and several other items I'm extremely happy with what I received and look to buy more in the near future this company is the best woolen mills in the nation ! Wool is the best when hunting deer or bear in the icy cold Pennsylvania woods it keeps me very warm and it's very quiet while moving.
