Excellent skiing, yummy restaurants, fun water park. But for $600 a night, which included waterpark but not lift tickets (no discount either—day of arrival discount is nonsense when check in and last chair are at the same time—they need to improve the basics. Horribly sagging mattresses, gossamer thin sheets. Bathroom only had 3 towels and one shampoo/conditioner for 4 people, no hair dryer (though they did bring those things). Rug kind of icky, and a deodorant left in a shelf suggested less than thorough attention to detail. A couple employees were cursing and joking about guillotines in the hallway too. This is a great place, but please replace your mattresses.

Had a great 1st trip to Joy. Conditions were great and had a delicious rib eye before the long drive home. If I wasn't 4 gotta away I'd be back much more

Superb mountain when it snows. If it's not snowing, bring your skates as it gets icy very quickly! With almost 40cm of frost the day before, the slopes were all icy at the end of the day. The 2 big negative points that I would say are the lack of space in the cafeteria. There really aren't many tables to sit and eat for such a big mountain. All small mountains in Quebec have a chalet with at least 4x more space. I couldn't believe it. The big thing I think Jay Peak should improve is their ski racks. There is no outside support to lock our skis!! These are all old wooden supports from the 80s where we only leaned our skis on them. With how busy the mountain was, I can't say that I was 100% comfortable leaving my board alone while I went back to eat.

You have to try the SNOW-GO's.Going down the mountain on a ski-bike is so much fun and easier than skiing and snowboarding!Definitely coming back!!!!

Stuff are unprofessional unwilling to help you for any questions. They sold me tickets for Tram ride. Went to get my family park the car walk 15 minutes and the find out the ride not running. And went back told them. O it's not running we didn't know that. If you're coming here to ski only it's good. For other things not worth to drive here for more than 4 hours.

I wish I could rate this resort negative 5 because of how bad my visit was. It was in the middle of the forest and that freaked me out. The rooms were also messy, with hair on the beds and, the sheets were also stained. When we called room service, they said they would come but they never did. The stores also closed at around 2:00 to 3:00 PM which I thought was kind of weird because someone could need something from the store after 3:00 PM. There were also doors leading out to the forest which made me uncomfortable. The front door also had a large glass panel that showed what was inside the living room which, is something unpleasant for me. So I would recommend to visit the city and activities but, I would never recommend the resort.

Overall, the resort and the services we received were fantastic. Our condo, however, was an absolute disaster...- Dried ketchup/barbeque droplets on the kitchen floor- sticky cabinet doors and shelves- carpet needed to be swept (no vacuum) due to the amount of crumbs/debris- brown stains (chocolate, I hope) on the throw pillows on the couch/pull-out sofa- utensils in the drawer had dried on peanut butter (good thing there was no food allergies in the family)- finger stains/smears on patio door

We rented a condo with ski in ski out, and that was awesome. The rest was a major bust. The room: This particular room v371 seemed owned by JP, kind of missed the mark. First the master bed was a box with springs wrapped in a sheet. The blanket on the bed was a cheap foam lined bedspread.BRING YOUR OWN BEDThe food: at least for weekday guests the food was a total bust. None of the restaurants are open and the 2 that are serve identical and heavily marked up menus. ($30 for dried out chicken cutlet on single scoop of potatoes, $18 for a deli sub)BRING YOUR OWN MEALSThe mountain: was the only reason we would consider coming back. Big enough to explore a bit, weekday lines were very short.Rooms: The condos are crap. Terrible bedding, everything is locked off, ski off is only benefit and you're better off in tram Lodge.Food & drinks: Terrible. Terrible. Not good and way overpriced.

I learned a lot here at this resort about skiing. I did a skiing program at another mountain before and it didn’t work out for me although after learning here at the adaptive sports program, it got me to ski again and I didn’t even fall a bit. Love skiing here.

Not worth the price.First, beware, if you do a waterpark package, the hours change. We paid for a three day but only got to use it two days because they, according to the waterpark desk they “close early sometimes” on Sunday. In our case it was 4:00, exactly when the lifts close. Also, if you are expecting a hot tub for apres ski beware, that was closed because of a “filtration issue” and at any rate would have only been available until 6 pm, not the 8 pm we were told on the phone when we booked. It’s a nice enough hotel, about the quality of a Hampton Inn and it was clean, but it is priced as if it were something much fancier and with a much higher level of service.I saw mixed reviews of the front desk staff and unfortunately got the worse end. I left the name of my friend with reception so she could check in to the room while we were at the water park. Front desk did not put her name on the reservation and then refused to let her in the room and did not help her find me (my phone was in a locker while we swam) or even offer to take her luggage and ski gear while the problem was solved. So she had to lug it all back out to the parking lot.Add these things to the exorbitant resort style pricing and we left feeling fleeced. The skiing is good and the trails are nice. But with long tram lines they really only have one high speed lift, a detachable quad. The other lifts are ancient and slooooow. The quad gives you two nice long intermediate runs which are both beautiful. If you are an expert skier or beginner there is plentiful terrain, but for intermediates two days is more than enough. We won’t be back.
