Galaxy Bookshop is one of the only places I am sure to visit every time I'm in Hardwick. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the selection of books is incredible. I highly recommend.

Absolutely adore this bookstore. I put in orders and they always arrive quickly. They give me a phone call whenever it's ready to pick up and are always so kind. They usually have some good recommendations for books to check out too. They also have an adorable selection of stickers, tiny cards, and various other little bits. I can't overstate how happy I am to have found this bookstore!

I live in Vermont and needed to get a gift to my sister in Virginia.Ordered a book online for her from the Galaxy Bookshop.Ordered a bunch of other stuff online at the same time too, from seven other businesses.Out of everything I ordered, the Galaxy present got there first, beating out all the other businesses despite it being the height of the COVID pandemic/Christmas rush season.I'd also requested no price on the packing slip because it was a gift.They honored this request, and in addition, I just got this excited text from my sister: "the present is wrapped in blue snowflake paper. It's so pretty!"Thanks Sandy for the happy surprise of a great wrapping paper job, and for super speedy shipping.

Had a great experience ordering online from them. Needed a gift for my sister in Virginia so I sent a book from the Galaxy Bookshop. It got there fast and they even wrapped it for her, which was a nice surprise! I look forward to visiting the shop in person once the pandemic is over.

This is a great little shop! I stopped here and picked up Obama's memoir and grabbed a cute pin. The person working was friendly and helpful. There are safety protocols in place for Covid-19 and I felt totally comfortable there. Can't wait to visit again!
