Always friendly and easy to use. Prices are reasonable. For those complaining try going to the drop off in Swanton. They charge for everything! Including compost. The per bag price is cheaper but you're charged for recycling. If you want to get paid for scrap metal there are places that pay for it. As far as other things ie. mattresses if you don't want to pay, put it on social media for free. Somebody will take it.

Over charges for what?! They charge for getting rid of scrap metal? I'm usually paid for scrap metal. And we gotta haul it out ourselves?! $10 is the most I have been charged for hauling off furniture OR mattresses, they charged me nearly $20 a piece! NOPE ! Got the "they saw us coming a mile away" vibes! Welcome to Vermont, but take your trash somewhere else!

Upon arriving at 1257 they close at 1. The guy was not happy. He said he wanted to go home. And then told me he could not take 75 percent of my stuff.. proceded to be rude. And then tried charging me 55 dollars for 3 tires and a chair and 2 small things. He didn't want to help me. I ended up driving off and being pretty mad. This guy was rude from the moment I pulled up.

They're all right but don't ask for favors. I came in once at closing by accident. I read the business hours wrong, my bad I get that. An older fellow there pretty much shut me down before I could explain my situation. On my way out there was a younger person that apologized and seemed to get it, for that I'm giving 3 stars instead of 2 stars. Left with in a bad sitch and a bad taste. I expect that behavior in other states but not my Vermont.

Quick, easy, inexpensive. Staff are definitely there to guide you where to put things, not to move anything for you— so bring extra people if you need them! Best to make an appointment if you have any hazardous waste since not all of the staff are certified to accept it.

Not the brightest people work here. They like to boss you around. Clean scrap metal and you have to pay?
