This is a GREAT Planet Fitness! I joined the Planet in March of 2022 at the South Burlington location. After moving to Essex, this location was more convenient. Staff at the desk is accommodating and if supplies are needed, they quickly will refill. The ladies restroom and the area overall is always very clean. Members do sanitize the equipment after use. The parking lot got repaved last year and it's in a very convenient location. I use the massage chairs and they are clean and comfortable. Nice range of newer cardio and weight equipment. Watch the times as busiest, of course, is during the week between 3-6:30 p.m. Hats off to the management of this Planet and their staff.

Im a young woman btw. I come here maybe once or twice a month. No biggie. I have the black membership card. Yesterday it was insanely cold out so I decided to sign in and wait in a massage chair in the black club member area.Okay when I first came in the guy at the front desk flashed an angry face as me (glasses and bowl cut). Not sure why. Don't recognize him, and I don't look homeless or anything. I sign in, go sit, and like 20 min he comes to me in a high pitched condescending tone asking if im waiting on someone. I told him I was waiting on the bus. Nevertheless I pay $25/month and only come like once a month. It's not like I'm an ongoing problem here.It was just uncomfortable because I felt watched and criticized. I wasn't bothering anyone, nobody could see me except the camera. Nobody else was back there. Is it that atrocious that I went in to wait for the bus for a couple minutes? If it was an hour I'd understand, I don't know it was just weird. I felt judged since I walked in the door. I've never caused any issues so idk why they were watching me like that.

What is the point of having a gender-neutral changing room if it is always locked and no one can actually use it?Edit: I would bring this up with management if I had their contact info. Speaking to the front desk I was just told it was management's decision. I did their online survey hoping management would reach out to me.

Issue with employee named Ged, from the South Burlington location, who is filling in for the Essex Junction location: This all started when I tried to use my black card membership to use one of the massage chairs. The chairs didn't work after I set up an appointment with it through the kiosk. There was no staff to be found anywhere throughout the 45 minutes that I was there until the very end. Finally I found someone who worked there - a staff member named Ged who was filling in from South Burlington - he had a dog with him. From the very start had an attitude like he didn't want to be there. Kept swearing repeatedly about issues with the system. He said that he was filling in for the assistant manager that's been out for a couple weeks and that he had seven trespasses that night. I sympathized with him saying that it sounds like a rough night. I asked him if I could speak to the manager. At this point I had no serious issue with him I just wanted to find out what was going on with the system. He took his hat off and brought it to my face pointing to his name. He asked "didn't you listen, I'm the manager". At this point I walked away and I was done with the conversation but he yelled out at me "I can just cancel your membership". I was in the changing room and a few seconds later he followed me in there and then told me he canceled my membership.I reported this over the phone already but I saw a Google review regarding an employee in the South Burlington planet fitness location and sounded exactly like the guy I had an issue with as well. I never had an issue with anyone in the months that I've been going to the gym. This was a very inexcusable experience and I want to continue going to the gym but I fear that if I return to that location he will do something drastic like call the cops or something even though my gym membership currently says active. I want to make sure this never happens to anyone else again.

Generally friendly, always clean and new equipment. Some hours very busy but that's expected.

Always a great experience. Every once in a while the place is packed, and it's a little bit harder to get a specific workout in.

If you use your membership you'll get the benefit, if you don't you won't simple as that. Good machines decent dumbbell selection, only goes up to 75lbers but it does the trick and the place is pretty clean and not too busy.

Franchise, owners are not locals and in Georgia, offering a lower standard plane fitness' gym that would not fly or be acceptable to consumers in other areas; plus Vermonters pay their bills - less crime here and risk for them of ppl not paying dues eyc; they dont have to do any work with a low end gymThe showers do not have hot water and they know it; dont want to pay the hot water bill and pretend it's 'broken'. They will lie to your face without a blink.Seen this many timesGreedy infection of individuals

The two girls at the counter I talked to on two different occasions were super nice. They have a lot of equipment and tanning and very clean looking.

This is a fitness center. There is a nice selection of workout equipment and really good shape. It is very clean the staff is not only helpful, there are very friendly and courteous

I am trying to get in touch with the owners or somebody, anybody who can help me resolve an issue, but that seems to be more difficult than contacting the president. My daughter had her membership cancelled today by one the managers after I asked him his name and/or the name of the owners. He literally hung up on me. I hope they record the calls as well as have video surveillance of the club. I am blown away at how this person treated me on the phone, and how he treated my daughter. If this were my franchise, I'd certainly want to know how my employees were treating customers and potential customers. My daughter has had her membership for about a week, I'll be expecting an apology, an explanation and a reinstatement of her membership or a complete refund without any cancellation fees, otherwise this seems very much like a form of a scam.
