“Costco’s great overall, but every time I get tempted by the short line at the self checkouts I regret it. The time you save in line is not worth the frustration of how slow they scan, how you must place each item on the shelf before proceeding to the next, and god forbid you disturb something before you’ve finished checking out and paid or the machine will lock up until the clerk comes and counts your items like you’re a thief. Never again.”
