The decades of training with Tamara really paid off one cold day in Middlebury VT:I was at Rosie’s in Middlebury for lunch with my husband and 2 friends. Sharon (friend) was across from me and her eyes got wide and she pointed to something behind me. I turned around and saw a man sliding down in the booth and leaning out about to fall to the floor. I jumped up and went over, asked if he needed help and he grabbed his throat and nodded, not making any noise. His wife was crying. I asked if he could stand up with my help. He stood up and I got behind him, put my left leg between his legs, crouched down a bit, got my hands positioned and started thrusts – it came out between #4 and #5 and my husband yelled “it’s out!” He sat back down, said he was going to relax, his wife stopped crying, he could talk and they sat for a while. As they left, he stopped and said “it sounds weird but thank you for saving my life.” I asked if he was sore and he said a little bit and I suggested he get checked out and his wife said “oh he will- for this and a bunch of other things too!”Tamara - I thank you for the years of training. I had you in my mind when I saw he was bigger than me (your voice was in my head saying – “get your leg in between his legs or else…”) and I was going to have to be as creative as possible to get my hands in the right position due to his belly. It all worked like it is supposed to and I am grateful I was there. Thank you!See you this fall for another round of training!Chrissy

Tamara is an EXCEPTIONAL teacher of CPR/First aid...she made class FUN, interesting, engaging, and memorable. She provides a beautiful balance of hands on practice, theory/explanation, space for questions, and sharing of her personal experiences. HIGHLY recommend doing your training with her!!

Tamara was an excellent instructor for CPR/AED and First Aid. She was able to implement lessons learned in her real life experiences as stories and hands on training to supplement the traditional coursework (videos and demos). Very personable and answered all questions with ease. I have been taking cert/recert courses for the past 18 years and enjoyed this one the most (as well as continued to grow my knowledge).

I was busy getting dinner ready and was letting the kids snack on some animal crackers. Derek was eating his and walking around the kitchen and bumped his head into the counter and proceeded to start crying. (For anyone that knows him, you know how loud he likes to cry.) While breathing in to cry, he inhaled the cracker and started to choke. After him trying to gag it back out, it was quickly apparent he had aspirated the cracker and could not breathe. I immediately started the heimlich and after multiple tries he was not responding. He began to turn purple and went limp in my arms, I quickly laid him down and started chest compressions. It felt like forever, but I truly believe only by God's grace, after only about 5 chest compressions he took a breath and I heard his little voice say "ow mommy".While all this was happening Sean had called 911 and the EMTs came shortly after to check him out.I am so thankful, I work for a company that requires us to take a yearly CPR refresher course, with the wonderful instructor Tamara. As without that knowledge and muscle memory I am sure I would have froze and not have known what to do.I feel every parent should take the time to learn CPR, because, while you pray and hope you never have to use it, you just never know.

I needed a skills class to as part of my recertification, but could not meet in person. VT safetyNet was flexible, and helped train me via Zoom meet. They were through, answered my questions and made sure I was doing everything correctly. Highly recommend!

As the head of a HR department employing 130+ clinical staff, I can confidently recommend Tamara for CPR Training and Fit Tests (N95). I'm always flooded with compliments from employees and doctors about her courses. She's accommodating, personable, and her courses are very thorough.

Tamara is a delight to learn from! She explains things very clearly, and I left her class feeling confident in my abilities.Tamara is currently doing an excellent job of following covid protocols. She is teaching in a large space with good air flow and open garage-style doors when weather permits. Every teaching tool is sanitized before and after use. Gloves are worn, and all students are spaced 6 or more feet apart. I would recommend a class with Tamara any day!

I'm a healthcare professional and have taken CPR courses for 30 years. Then I took Tamara's CPR class. If you want to learn quickly and clearly, and feel like you know what you're doing when class is over, take CPR/ AED/ First Aid with her. She's exceptional at clearly and precisely presenting the info in a quick, entertaining (she's got real stories from her experience to tell) way. Definitely the best CPR/ AED course I've taken!

Incredible training. Engaging and applicable to real life. As a teacher I found her very effective in her ways of helping the class remember detailed information. I have taken CPR/first aid classes in the past and this is the first time I feel confident I will be able to help others if needed. Also the time went quickly and very interesting

I have taken many many CPR classes during which I was an LNA, EMT, & then LPN under American Red Cross & AHA. The instructor who runs this training company is by far the BEST at delivering important information in a way that was engaging for me. She used her own life experiences, & current public health issues to deliver key messages that were more concrete for me. She is a 5-star educator and made learning a familiar topic really fun again!

My CPR certification had expired so I signed up for Tamara's 4 hour First Aid/CPR/AED class. My husband, who'd never had a CPR class, also joined us. Tamara and the class were simply excellent. Her knowledge and sense of humor kept the class humming right along over 4 hours. I've had many CPR classes over the last 30 years and hers was the best in terms of clarity and amount of useful information covered. My husband is not a "class" kind of a guy. However, he came away saying he very much enjoyed the class and learned a great deal. A very beneficial 4 hours. Thanks Tamara!
