If you are searching for a unique, beautifully crafted gift for yourself or for someone else & want to make sure your money is supporting an ethically sourced business, this is the store for you. They pay their far away artists & crafters 100% of the cost up front, anazing. Your dollars will make a very real difference in the lives of real people in small villages working to support themselves & their families, everybody wins. You will find items from all over the world to suit every budget, including items for children & will leave with something of quality that you can be proud of gifting. If you request a gift to be wrapped up or put into a special box, they are usually happy to oblige. You can't go wrong supporting this business.

I would have given 5 stars... Unfortunately, we came on Sunday I bought a container and the person at the checkout escaped while packing it. She told us everything was ok. When we got home and removed the packaging I noticed that it was cracked. So I bought something broken by a store worker and into which I cannot put liquid, which was its primary purpose. The store is very good but I am very disappointed here

A delightful little store with the friendliest staff. Filled with an arrangement of soaps, candles, furniture pieces, cookware, jewlery and everything in between…all affordable and reasonably priced given most of the goods are locally sourced/small business items! I love the signs that tell you the story behind some of the items.

This is the coolest little store with the most kind staff! I ran in today after being chased down by a homeless lady, but the staff was very kind, and I found some adorable stuff to buy! Also, Valerie June was in the store, which is just incredible. ❤️❤️ Thanks for helping me today!

The store has curated a nice selection of items from several villages as the name suggests. I bought a pretty hand painted tray supporting village folks in Palestine .

This is a fair trade gift shop focused on selling goods from around the world, primarily crafted by women. Lots of cute, fun, beautiful and interesting items for sale.

It was our first time in Vermont. We decided to stop by Burlington to check out the Church Street Marketplace. This store was our first and last stop. We went in and couldn't stop looking at all the treasures inside. There were such unique gifts in all price ranges. Also, the store was so beautifully displayed. It was like walking into a magical little world. Once I got a closer look at the items in the store, I saw that so many of them had a story to them. They benefitted less fortunate people in different parts of the world. That touched my heart. My girls and I bought a few things but tried to restrict ourselves since it was the first store we went into. Right before we were about to leave we went back to this store to buy some more things. The store attendants (not sure if they were the owners or employees) were so warm and kind and wrapped all our little goodies with such care. We will definitely be back whenever we are in town.

Ok, in my review for Church Street Marketplace I said it was a tourist trap with overpriced stores but this place was a bit different. I really liked this store, from the aesthetic to the ethos of the company. And shockingly enough, everything was priced correctly, not marked up for tourists or because they are trying to make huge profit margins off of the less fortunate. There were many an item I wanted to purchase but I just didn't have room in my "personal item under the seat" bag. One day I'll think about that bicycle pizza cutter as I'm slicing my home made pizza and a single tear will roll down my cheek at the things missed. But really, there is so much in this highly organized shop and you could spend a good amount of time perusing the aisles, finding that special thing you've always wanted but never knew you needed.
