This is a fantastic dog care business. My young dog has matured so much in a year thanks to the patience and attention by the team that works at Play Dog Play. When she started, she was energetic and eager to play, but she could also get overwhelmed. Now she gets so excited to arrive and play with all her dog friends, and she happily greets whoever is there to take her inside. I love their verbal reports when I pick up my dog at the end of the day. I find out who she played with and what they may have worked on with her. I am very appreciative that my dog has a fun place to attend where I know she is safe, gets to play, and where she clearly likes the people.

Play Dog Play has taken extremely good care of our little girl twice a week for about two years. I know that when we drop her off each morning that she will be well cared for and offered a variety of activities throughout the day. She is comfortably tired and cuddly when she gets home! The employees often celebrate Molly’s arrival and I can tell she’s a Staff favorite. We trust the staff at this location to take care of our little girl.

Wonderful dog daycare where it’s all about the dogs! Truly kind, caring staff who are wonderful with our pup Bella, and she can’t wait to go to daycare and play with all her friends. We have been using Play Dog Play for a year now and wouldn’t even consider looking at a different daycare. The handlers/trainers work with the dogs so they can have the most positive, safe and fun days where we, as dog parents, can feel secure leaving our baby for the day. Thank you.Cathy

We feel so comfortable leaving our pup with the awesome and kind staff at Play Dog Play! We know they are very tuned in to her specific needs. We are confident that during her boarding she was kept safe, secure and stimulated. We highly recommend PDP!!

Play dog play is awesome! My dog Reggie goes to the Pine Street location and is clearly a happy camper every time I pick her up. They take great care of her and are great communicators so I’m never worried about Reggie, even when she’s boarding. Can’t say enough good stuff about this facility, Mallory, and all of the other awesome staff. Thanks for taking care of my girl!

I love this doggie daycare and the extra special care they give to each and every dog. I get a report at the end of each day about her social interactions and anything else important. The staff is wonderful and the facility itself smells fresh and clean. So happy to have my girl enrolled in their excellent daycare program!

My young dog (1 and 1/2) has gone 3 times once a week and I just decided to schedule her to go a couple times a week. The staff always have great information when I picked her up. I feel like she’s in really great hands. Would recommend!

Our dog loves to come here! We feel so lucky to have found a place where they really assess which dogs should play together (based on age, temperament and energy level). Best staff and a clean facility!

The staff are great - professional, friendly, attentive. They are true dog people, and they know mine well. It feels like they take the time to get to know each dog in their care, and understand their unique needs. Highly recommend!

Our pup went to PDP for 4 years - and he absolutely loved his days at "school", which, I think is worth saying at the start of this review. His affection for the staff is a testament to their talent and care for the pups they oversee. He (and we) truly felt loved by the folks there - and we were always warmed by the daily reports at pickup and that they cared for his success and happiness. Truly the on-the-ground staff are great and deserve to be recognized as such. All that being said - our final interaction with PDP was less than stellar. Over the years and through some management/ownership changes, we have found many of the fringe benefits slowly shaved off while pricing increased. We often got notices about them being understaffed - but chalked all these things up getting back up to speed after the pandemic. But in hindsight it seems likely these things were symptoms of the ultimate communications issue we found ourselves with.We and PDP staff have been working with our dog's occasional "jumping indoor the gates" for his entire time with PDP, but suddenly, a day after we got a glowing report at an in person pickup, we received an email from management stating they could no longer support our dog and that we could no longer return.Ultimately we understand their need to keep dogs safe, and ultimately don't fault the reasoning behind their decision - but moreso are dismayed at their lack of communication about the seriousness of this problem, and the possibility of dismissal from attendance as a result. That anyone who brings their pup here could be unexpectedly blindsided by an email discontinuing their attendance seems like a major red flag. For years I have recommended PDP to friends and colleagues, and your pup will likely enjoy their time with the staff if you choose to bring them there. But I'd be remissed if I didn't warn folks of the potential major downsides of communicating with their management.

Writing this saddens me. Before yesterday, I would have wholeheartedly recommended Play Dog Play. Our dog had been going to Play Dog Play for nearly four years. During that time, I have had nothing but positive interactions with the staff. My dog is an athlete, he jumps barriers. This has been something that has been an off an on thing for him, and was never brought up as a concern. Early on he'd be on lead until it got under control. It was usually something that was lightheartedly remarked on. The staff had previously noticed that it may have been a fear response to noises or nap time and worked with him. The behavior stopped for a long time. We were given daily progress reports and letting us know about concerns. That was until yesterday when, without warning, I received an email being told that our dog's daycare was discontinued. There were no options given, no plan, nothing. The previous day, we were given a positive report about his day. So the news that his behavior had become a problem came as a complete shock. It ran counter to every experience I had with staff at Play Dog Play previously.I can only say positive things about the staff I worked with during the past four years, but it stings to end things on a sour note with poor communication.

I can’t recommend Play Dog Play enough! I rescued a handsome fella named Eddie about a year and half ago. Eddie was clearly mistreated before he was placed with his Rescue Fam. He’s a goofy playful guy, but has been skittish of dogs and people. After going to PDP, I have a whole new guy! While we still have things to work on (he’s still a young dude), he’s gained so much confidence at daycare, it’s honestly just a joy to see. If Eddie hears the word “daycare” (in any context) or I drive by PDP his tail wags, he jumps and gets so excited. Believe me when I say the separation anxiety with Eddie goes both ways, so to be able to drop him off somewhere where he can be a dog and play and I know he’s in good hands is the best gift of all time! Having your pup attend PDP is a must do for you and your little bff!

They care about my Lexi so much I don't have to worry when I drop her off... And she loves it so much when I pick her up she's had such a busy day she just crashes

Says there not breed restricted but can't handle medium- large breeds. Also crating seems to be very important to them which is not the reason we bring our dog to daycare it's to be crated less and play more. The issue is there are teenagers who don't know how to handle dogs that are hired here.

If you have a dog with high energy it will be best to find another establishment. The staff seems to not be organized. I had changed our schedule multiple times to accommodate their needs but these proposed changes began interfering with my work schedule so I was no longer able to accommodate their requested changes. If my location preference was acknowledged then I could have made more accommodations. After setting a schedule for the winter months in advance, right before it was about to begin we were told they could mot accommodate us until May. I have been left high and dry with little to no time to make arrangements. Better communication and accommodation would have gone a long way in this instance.
