Pampered Pet Grooming & Supply
1127 North Ave #10, BurlingtonI recently took my beloved pet to Pampered Pet, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! My furry baby boy was warmly welcomed with care and affection, and treated to a luxurious spa session. Now, he looks impeccably clean with a wonderfully soft coat, sparkling white teeth, and perfectly trimmed nails! I highly recommend their top-notch pampering service; it truly deserves an A-class rating!

Pet Care
Green Mountain Animal Hospital-North Avenue
1372 North Ave, BurlingtonFor over a decade I have brought my two Dobermans to the GMAH on N. Avenue. My late Jessie and my current Prince Harry have always been well cared for there. Never a negative issue and the staff are friendly. Plus they're close by which is great and a must. Rather than going all the way to Burlington (Williston Rd).

Pet Sitting & Training
Fetch the Leash! Dog Behavior & Training
85 Pearl St, BurlingtonI cannot say enough positive things about one Fetch the Leash! Trainer, Olivia, specifically. I signed DCI Luther up for an intense training package (3x per week + 30 min playtime before each training session). He was behind in learning manners and he was a 70 pound, overenthusiastic puppy! Olivia quickly became one of Luther’s favorite people in the WORLD. She so obviously has a passion for helping dogs to grow and has a sincere affection for them. Luther mastered ‘sit’ and ‘down’ quickly and started rapidly improving on the leash so I’m no longer being pulled down the street while walking and then dragged like a rag doll for a greeting when he sees another dog. The training focuses on positive reinforcement and it moves at the dog’s comfort level - mind you that means not always as quickly as fur parents may want. But when the pups learn something they REALLY learn it. The training isn’t just for the 4-legged. I was taught an alternative way to hold the leash and my arm/shoulder are grateful. The tips and tricks for distraction and redirection of behavior are INVALUABLE.We moved a lot when he was a puppy so he was under-socialized and it’s left him with a lot of quirks: He’s super sweet and naive and also a very aggressive greeter which is a bad combo since he doesn’t pick up on ‘leave me alone’ cues right away. He also has random fears: wheelchairs, strollers, flickering lights, etc. so there is still plenty to work through! We also still travel a lot but I’ll be getting Luther back into training with his bestie as soon as we get back to Burlington!

Play Dog Play Canine Care Center
668 Pine St, BurlingtonThis is a fantastic dog care business. My young dog has matured so much in a year thanks to the patience and attention by the team that works at Play Dog Play. When she started, she was energetic and eager to play, but she could also get overwhelmed. Now she gets so excited to arrive and play with all her dog friends, and she happily greets whoever is there to take her inside. I love their verbal reports when I pick up my dog at the end of the day. I find out who she played with and what they may have worked on with her. I am very appreciative that my dog has a fun place to attend where I know she is safe, gets to play, and where she clearly likes the people.

Nomad Coffee
208 Flynn Ave #3i, BurlingtonVery cool coffeeshop right in front of the Co-op has great coffee and standout pastries - best croissant ? in Burlington so far - still have more to try. The building itself is a yuppie dream warehouse situation.Parking: Parking is tricky to get into because the access road right next to the coffeeshop is one way. Enter through the Howard center and there is another entrance in back.

Switchback Brewing Co.
160 Flynn Ave, BurlingtonGreat little brewery to stop by. Plenty of seats and space. Had a pretty good selection of beers on tap. We tried the smoked beer flight. Not really my taste, but they were brewed well. Next time I'm over there, I'll try some of the other beers they have.

Brio Coffeeworks
266 Pine St Suite 116, BurlingtonMy wife and I visit Brio every time we visit Vermont which is as often as possible. This past October we visited before spending a day in Burlington. My wife who is not a big coffee drinker had a Calypso espresso while I a big coffee drinker went with the single origin Ethiopia Shantawene. Fast forward 4 months and I am still dreaming about that single origin espresso. I roast my own coffee at home and drink a ton of espresso and I still have not been able to recreate anything like that experience. Brio is one of the best in the business and I 100% recommend stopping while you are in the Burlington area. I hope some day to be able to pull a shot of my own coffee that can re create that experience over again. Thanks for everything you do!

Burlington Bay Market & Cafe
125 Battery St, BurlingtonAmazing views and fantastic food. The clam chowder was full of clams and had a wonderful flavor, the lobster roll was amazing and super fresh tasting with a fair amount of lobster for the $30 price tag, and the maple ham wrap was super delicious. Additionally, they have a great little shop with some local products which makes it easy to grab souvenirs for friends and family!

Tight Squeeze Coffee Shop
125 College St, BurlingtonMy maple latte and rooibos latte were absolutely delicious and very well made. There is very little seating and honestly its kind of cold inside, and the barista was loudly watching TV before and after making the drinks which I didn’t love. Overall, really good place to grab a delicious drink and skedaddle.

Happy Place Café
101 Main St, BurlingtonCame here twice over Indigenous Peoples Day weekend and loved it. Coffee was top notch. Great donuts. They’re practically giving away the breakfast sandwiches, which were awesome. The guy working the counter was really nice and gave good service too. Will definitely go back next time I’m in town.

Onyx Tonics Specialty Coffee
126 College St, BurlingtonOne of the best coffee shops I've ever been too, even after years of living in Brooklyn. They take their time with each order, and you can tell they prioritize making a good quality coffee over mass producing as many coffees as possible. They also have different drinkware when you dine-in, which is a really nice touch as most places still give you the same plastic cup either way. I cannot recommend this place enough.
