Got towed here by GEICO. Our car is brand new and had a flat. Without even looking at the tires, Charlie told us we needed to wait overnight for 4 new tires at 475 each. We insisted he look at the tires and one of the excellent mechanics was able to plug it for us within 5 minutes and we left with a modest fee of 54 bucks. We have him two stars for the hardworking mechanic who got us on the road. Be very careful-- they will up charge you unless you advocate for yourself.

this was the worst experience I have ever had with a service station in over fifty years of car ownership. That guy Charlie will lie to you and make up things that you need and make it sound like if you don't do it your car won't make out of his parking lot. Charlie must work on commission. If there is a bay available and a mechanic sitting around he will tell you anything so that mechanic is kept busy. TOTALLY PREDATORY. I needed a simple emergency repair on a Friday afternoon. I don't live in Burlington. When I went back to get my car Charlie gave me a bill for over a thousand dollars with things on it that I didn't approve and then wouldn't give me my car back unless I paid him. Yes this sounds like an exaggeration but every word is true.

Love that it's so close for quick snacks and cheap gas. Love that it has an air machine to fill my bike tires!

I will not bring my car to Handy's Service Station again after a recent experience. I brought my car in yesterday to have a state inspection completed. Shortly after dropping it off, I got a call from Charlie saying that he would need to replace the front flex pipe and rear brakes and remove the tints from the windows in order for the car to pass inspection. I was told that it would cost $1150 in order to get my car in the state that it would be able to pass the inspection. Because this was completely unexpected, I decided to call around to several other local shops to see if this was a reasonable quote. The highest quote that I got elsewhere was $475 as a worst case scenario. I ended up bringing my car to Duncan's Auto nearby and paid $350. I'd like to say I'm shocked that Handy's tried to charge me $800 more, but its Handy's...

It is a little bit small as mini marts go, but has most of the basics.

Hidden gem with cheap gas, especially with the 5 cents off on Sundays. Normally about 20 cents cheaper than getting gas closer to the highway.
