Homegoods, we all know that it’s really hard to hire people after the pandemic, so keeping bottom of the barrel employees is the least of your worries since you at least have employees, but your employees are the face of your store. Today your employee admitted to a paying customer that they’d rather destroy and create waste out of your inventory rather than make a sale.In the time it took to walk to the back of the store, your employee said they had already destroyed the item, bent it beyond use, and threw it away. That not even donations wanted it. Now, if you’re going to lie, at LEAST make something up that’s not awful. It’s way more plausible that your employee decided to take the item themselves, which by itself, stories aside, is fine. At least I hope that was what your employee did, and not waste a perfectly good item with a paying customer in the store. As a large company, you shouldn’t engage is such waste, if that is in fact what happened. It’s disgraceful and greedy. If that’s not what happened, train your employees to make up better stories. They’re making you look bad.Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Homegoods. That 7 ft pre-lit Christmas tree could have helped a needy family but nah, you “bent it up and tossed it in the dumpster.” (Which you didn’t’, but weirdly enough that’s the story your unphased, not so creative employee came up with). Gross.

Dear HomeGoods in South Burlington VT,You’re awful. I considered purchasing a 7ft prelit tree (Xmas closeout). You told me it was $99. I said no thank you. By the time I got to the front of the store I had changed my mind. I went back to end of the store to get it, and your staff, maybe floor manager? Meekishly says, “it’s too late, we threw it out, bent it up.” You had trashed it! Bent it to fit it in the TRASH. That’s really messed up. You said donations didn’t want it…. so you THREW IT IN THE TRASH AND BROKE IT when I was still in the store. Not only would I have bought it, but you’d rather have trashed it, than gave it to me.

I went in November to purchase 2 bins. Neither bin happened to have a price on it. The person working took 20 min to locate a price. I just walked out because I didn’t care. Today I went in again to purchase 2 items. Of course neither had a price. Took over 30 minutes for the same woman to go locate a price. Unreal and so frustrating! If no one bothers to put a price tag on it, please have a faster system in place to have the staff locate the price.

I went in to find every day decor but only found Christmas stuff. The cashier was very pushy about the card, donations, and rounding up, too. I had to say no 5 times, which left me feeling uncomfortable. I likely won't go back because I don't like being harassed while I shop.

Always great going to this store. Just good to look around and find items that you might like and not need ?. Good choice of seasonal items! Christmas stuff is the best! It gets busier as it gets closer to Christmas.

I love homegoods for knickknacks and cute items especially when it's time for Halloween to come out.For the 2nd year running I've had trouble at this store finding the stuff when it's out in other homegoods or even weirder, they put it out and then take it away again randomly and give me weird looks. I've overheard the employees complaining about having to put out halloween stuff in July.I made the mistake of asking once last September if there was more Halloween items coming out or if they knew anything and employee snapped "It's too soon. Why would you be looking now?"Micheal's had an awesome selection and will be getting my money since this store literally doesn't want me to spend money there.

A great place to help decorate your home, that is if you can find what you want since their stock changes so frequently. Prices are normally within your budget but if it's there today it might not be there tomorrow.

I love this store. You can find so many different things for the home and at a incredible low price. I found this picture of a Chihuahua that is so unique and it looks just like my Zoey.
