During an extensive DIY home renovation, I hired a contractor to perform some major rebuild work, and he used Curtis for all supplies. The quality of the materials seems to surpass what I was buying from other major home stores for the areas of the house I had been renovating. Supplies from Curtis included a 600 square foot room rebuild, with all lumber, insulation, and roof trusses from Curtis, as well as new roof shingles and all the siding replaced. Recently, I have been completing my basement renovation and needed very specific custom windows to fit and meet egress. Curtis was able to custom order me these windows which I could not find elsewhere. I want to note that there was an issue with the window order not being correct when they arrived, but Curtis did the right thing and replaced them for me with the correct windows, even though they were custom built and could not be returned otherwise. Other reviews mention poor customer service, but they went beyond what I expected by replacing the windows, even though I had initially missed their error when I agreed to have them submit the purchase order.

We had an excellent experience working with Clara at the Kitchen & Bath showroom at the Pine Street location in Burlington. Our kitchen is very small and was in dire need of a redesign - a challenge even for the best designers. It is probably much easier for a designer to work with a large kitchen because there are more options to work with and more wiggle room but Clara showed her skill in being able to deliver a well-designed, ergonomic, and attractive kitchen ensemble that worked very well for the space we were confined to. The Wolf cabinetry is high quality and and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Curtis Lumber (and working with Clara) for folks seeking quality kitchen and bath projects.

While Curtis Lumber provides building materials for professionals who buy large quantities of supplies to construct buildings, I am happy to report that if a neophyte like myself walks into the lumber warehouse for a small DIY project, they are super helpful (and patient!). I planned my visit to Curtis Lumber at an off-peak time (mid-week, in the late afternoon) when I didn’t think the BIG project folks would be around buying truckloads of supplies. Since I was the only person in the warehouse, Tim was able to answer my son’s questions over FaceTime and cut the wood to the size that my son needed for his dorm room bookcase. The drive-in warehouse made loading the car super easy. Curtis Lumber is the place to go for BIG and small projects alike.

Handy little local hardware store with a decent supply of lumber. Mostly plays to a contractor crowd but they'll hook it up, always friendly. Cheap cut keys.

I used to live in upstate New York and had great experiences at our Curtis Lumber's. We moved to Vermont last year and I recently reached out to the Burlington Curtis for help with getting a bathroom vanity. I left voicemails for the person in Kitchen and Bath that I was transferred to. After two weeks of unreturned calls I called back and spoke with a clerk who filled out a kitchen and bath referral request. Never heard anything from that. I called and asked to speak with a manager and explained the situation. I told him I simply wanted to see what the options would be to work with Curtis on getting a vanity and would someone be able to help me. He told me he would speak with the kitchen/bath staff and assured me that either that person or he (the manager) would call me back. Well, no one ever called. I know it's a busy time for building supply stores, but I was really disappointed in the absence of any customer service. After that experience, I'd be wary to utilize their design services. Even if you can get someone to return your call.

I prefer Curtis lumber for any home improvement project over Lowe's or Hone Depot because there are always plenty of helpful staff to give advice and help me find what I'm looking for! I like their selection of products too. Definitely recommend!

So we were going through our kitchen renovation design and we went there more than 5 times to talk about it.we were so close to finished it actually she was friendly and helpful. we loved it. But she ditched us. We emailed her and called her so many times but she ignored us. We were going to spend flooring and tiles everything around kitchen. And after that we were thinking about our bathroom renovation... I guess they don't care about big loss.
