They almost never have more than 1 teller available. I was 2nd in line behind a woman who was asking several questions of the one teller on duty. She was clearly not doing any banking transaction, just talking to the teller. After 20 minutes and a long line had formed I asked the teller if there was any teller backup support she could call on. She said no. 5 minutes later some guy comes in off the street wanting to buy a roll of quarters. Frustrated by the line he starts walking through the offices until he finds the branch manager who comes out and opens up another teller window. If your tellers can't tell the truth and your branch manager can't see the long line and a problem, you don't belong in a customer service organization. Most banks are fast, efficient and care about their customers. Citizen's Bank does not.

My debit card expires at the end of June. Received a couple of emails to alert me that my new one would arrive soon. Okay no problem, or so I thought. They cancelled my current card a week ago and I called and was more than patient as a young man explained the cards were a little late getting out and he didn't have his new card either. He assured me it would arrive within this week, it didn't. Now I have the nightmare of auto payments getting declined, I can't use the card at the store or to obtain cash. It's 2022 this is insane.

Do not trust Citizens Bank. This bank is a bunch of scammers. Do not trust them they will steal your money, and not give you vital information about your account. I just pulled all of my money and savings from there, there were willing to let tens of thousands out of the company, to not give me 300$ from a promo deal! Scammers!

Worst banking experience in my life! I just moved from California to Vt. Prior to the transition, I called Citizens to make sure that I could transfer from BANK to BANK so that my 5yro and I could buy a car within the first week of being here. I opened a checking account with cash and a savings with a large BANK transfer so that I could get a car. I was told by Dawa Sherpa my wait was 24-72 hours. I found a car and started the payout process after 72 hours. Citizens then told me that my account had insufficient funds after both myself and banking representatives SAW the money in my account, which led me to believe that my funds where stolen. A few days later the story changed to fraud after I spent over 30 hours on the phone and in person trying to resolve this issue. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE is an understatement! NO BODY KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON and just shrug their shoulders while $35,000 has gone missing. Now they say that the funds coming DIRECTLY from Bank of America are Fraudulent and they will return them to BofA.....SOMEDAY BEFORE JUNE!! Today is March 16th!!!! Meanwhile my son and I are renting a car for 3+weeks which is expensive and completely unnecessary if this bank was honest and organized. As of now I still waiting for Citizens to place the "fraudulent' funds back to BofA account so that my son and I can have cash or a debit card to eat and buy a car. Thanks to Citizens we are left out in the cold (literally) as they hold my hard earned cash and saved money hostage. Oh, and they also froze my ATM and online banking so we have had no money for the first several weeks coming to Vermont. Its not great to be in a new place with a young child and NO available money. In the future, I will be keeping my money in accounts outside of Vermont from now on. Citizens has really burned me especially since I methodically took all the steps necessary for a smooth transition to a new state. I TRUSTED THEM and that was my mistake. You have many other options in banks, DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!!!!!

Choose another branch! The branch manager at this location has been too lazy to return phone calls and unwilling to help resolve a critical situation that they were happy to help with at the Shelburne Road location. If you're reading google maps reviews of banks the above might not even matter to you =D

The worst bank I have ever dealt with. They opened up a line of credit for me without telling me that there were associated fees. I was forced to pay even when I requested the credit line to be closed. Not a good way to do business, would never recommend it. 10/10 do not come here

Only bank that I have gone to where they allowed me to exchange money for quarters. Could have been the teller that was nice because he really wanted to make it a point that he shouldnt be doing this and I need to be a customer in order to exchange for quarters. Thank you for doing it. It earned you a nice review!

I'll start by saying that my problem is not with this particular Citizens Bank branch but the company as a whole. If I could give 0 stars, I would do so. Avoid working with them at all costs. 3 WEEKS AGO my identity was stolen and a fraudulent account was set up through Citizens Bank using my information. I immediately alerted Citizens Bank and was given a case number and an employee dedicated to my case. 3 weeks later, I still have NONE of the issues resolved -- the account is still open and not restricted from use. I've been given ZERO information about progress on the case/investigation, and have also not received any indication of my liability for additional fraudulent activity on the account despite my multiple attempts to get this information. Right after this account was opened, I had similar accounts opened or attempted opening through several other banks, ALL OF WHICH, were handled and closed within 2 business days of me speaking with the other banks. I cannot emphasize enough how much I would avoid using Citizens Bank if you have ANY other reasonable options.

I have decided to live and let live with this branch, because the new male tellers seem fine, and the ones i ranted about are gone. The fees have been reasonable now for a couple of months, and it would be a pain to transfer. TABLA RASA as the Romans used to say. Female tellers treated me like family at banks in the past, generous, etc...but live and live.

I am giving this bank 0 stars. My company uses this bank for their payroll and expenses. I tried to cash my check at a local branch and was told I would have to pay a $7.00 fee plus give them my fingerprint. Are you kidding me? This is insanity at its best. I don't understand why anybody would want to do business with this bank. Also, I stood in line for at least 15 minutes while the only teller on duty took his grand old time to cash a check for the only other customer in the bank. He had to count the money 4 times before he would hand it to her. I went to my credit union and cashed my check in about 3 minutes. Way better service and less fees at credit unions.

I experienced a really really bad encounter with one of there employees named. Cheyenne mobbed . she was not nice when I first talked to her . she started to ask me things that I never asked for .just there to cash my check . so she started to taganize me more while I was trying to get my check cashed. All because I live at. Cots apartments. . I finally asked the manager Robyn Dixon to talk to me about how good her employee is being . the manager was pretending to be clueless and then started to be unprofessional at work too. .so she called the cops because she was 6 feet away from me . she said I was yelling at her . I said your 6 ft away from me what do you expect me to whisper .so I closed my account and left . the whole story is .Cheyenne mobbed made me feel like I couldn't give her my private information. Like my housing . all because I was living above a shelter . I would not recommend going to this bank at allll. Discriminate d

I went in one day looking for old money and silver coins and the two tellers working were so nice and super helpful. The bank is such a beautiful bank and the atmosphere in there was pretty cheerful. One of the women working went through the bank straps to find anything older for me and seemed really excited and cheerful to look!

I wish it were possible to give less than 1 star. This bank will charge you an absurd amount of "fees" for ridiculous reasons without any notice. Their customer service is so bad it's like talking to people from the Stone Age. I've banked with them for a couple of years, and Im canceling my account. I couldn't be more happy to do so. Citizens bank is the epitome of a bank just stealing your money and looking out for only themselves.
