This place is bad news. Essentially a fence for stolen goods.
I had a handful of rare guitars stolen out of my house from a break-in. In the week following, I called every single pawn shop and music store within 100 miles to warn them with serial numbers, photos and relevant info, including Brattleboro Gold and Silver...the shop closest to me.
Within a month of the theft, one of the guitars made it's way to Brattleboro Gold and Silver. They purchased it and resold it quickly. When we traced it back to the shop, the police reached out to the store - they were familiar with the guitar but they told the detective that "the store shreds sale records every two months" and they were also unable and unwilling to provide the security video footage. Awful and completely preventable.
