Not going back. Brought my bike in for a tune up. Took two-and-one half weeks, and when I got the bike back (with its new rear wheel and gear sprockets), my first ride was AWFUL! Felt like I was dragging 200 lbs behind me! I assumed the fault was with me, so I didn't go looking for a defect; the bike had just been tuned up, so why SHOULD there be something wrong with it? After three weeks, I finally tumbled to the fact that the rear wheel was frequently nudging up against the chain stay, and this was causing the drag. Three weeks, you say? Yes, I admit to not being the sharpest knife in the drawer! Turns out the wheel had not been properly tightened in the rear dropouts, and had been moving side-to-side during my rides! Once I tightened it properly, the ride was fine.

I recently contacted Brattleboro Bicycle Shop to learn about their offerings of electric bikes. Barb is an experienced cyclist. She was very helpful over the phone and I set up an appointment for a test ride. I arrived early and was willing to wait until my appointment time, but she immediately started helping me.I had the opportunity to learn about and test ride two different bikes around the neighborhood. Barb knows her products well, and I received expert information over a period of 90 minutes and never felt rushed. A+ for customer service!I feel very comfortable that I will receive the same level of care when my bike needs servicing.

This was my first time coming here. I’m very disappointed and appalled, the lady was very rude and snarky towards me from the second I walked in the door for no apparent reason. I understand you might be having a bad day but taking it out out on potential customers isn’t a great idea for business. I will be taking my business and money elsewhere.

My wife tried to order a bike for spring and knew they were hard to get but was willing to wait. Good luck was the response and no interest in pursuing. Call to another bike shop, we will have it in May. She never asked price, just wanted the bike ordered. Most of us are aware products have extended lead time these days, don't make it a reason not to even try.

After multiple experiences with Brattleboro Bicycle Shop, I can easily recommend their services. Folks running the shop are invariably kind and very knowledgeable. They were able to do some next-level alterations to my ebike, so pleased with the custom work and parts sourcing!

I've never had a bike shop spend so much time going through all of the options, explain everything so carefully, or tell me the pros and cons of doing various types of repairs versus buying new, whether it be a new bike or a new wheel. Tim and Barb have always been really kind.

DO NOT GET A BIKE REPAIRED HERE!!!! Mechanic works on a "timer" and takes his sweet time to do the simplest of repairs. Replacing brake pads (non-hydraulic) was billed at almost $60. It's a 10 minute job. Completely out of line prices, shop is the dirtiest I've ever seen (disgusting if you actually walk to the bathroom) and mechanic is as slow as molasses. Pads are a $20 job, not $60+. I've done a brake job on a vehicle quicker than he works. AVOID, especially if you are an out-of-towner. You will be disappointed

Tim provided a thorough diagnostic on my son's bike and performed the needed repairs to enable a bike that once was a source of frustration into a bike that rides like a dream. I appreciate the customer service and the quality of work that we experienced at Brattleboro Bicycle Shop!
