While Red Kite sells candied goods, they also offer homemade ice cream in their store. I'd definitely say it's the best option for ice cream in Hanover - very affordable and a lot of unique flavors! My favorites were cold brew and pistachio, but the flavors change daily. Staff is super friendly as well and the store is welcoming.

What a great way to end this trip to New England. We were visiting a friend in Hanover NH, who took us on a tour of the area where we had been in the past. We had wet, cold weather all day but at the end, opted for ice cream anyway. We love ice cream that much, and local handcrafted our first preference always. This local shop makes candy and ice cream, delicious, fresh and inventive flavors. They had some unique local, seasonal flavors and we had to try one. All 3 of us opted for the maple caramel swirl. It was delicious, smooth and sweet, but not too sweet, as some caramel mixes can be. The maple flavor shone. The service was quick and friendly. The shop also has a homemade candy counter too. The exterior is well decorated for the season and in inside is cute as can be. The red and white theme carries throughout. If in Hanover, this is a must-do stop.

A bright, inviting addition to Hanover's downtown: a shop selling fresh, house-made caramels and toffee treats on one side, and an ice cream counter on the other. As for the candies, there are plenty of varieties to choose from, and you can go for either a self-customized box from whatever's inside the display case, or a readily wrapped, giftable package. As for the ice cream, it looked reasonably priced, with plenty of flavors to choose from too. Because, yes, this might be hard to believe during the long, cold winter months, but Hanover does get warm enough at some points of the year to warrant ice cream cravings. Not to mention that it's a worthwhile treat any time of year. ;) Pro tip: your photos will look sooo much better if you don't shove or massage your food and drink into the frame with your bare, moist, wrinkly hands and dirty, overgrown fingernails. You also don't need to call attention away from the food with pointless "action" shots. Keep all body parts and distracting backgrounds out of the photo and focus solely on the food and drink - and yes, this is possible even with ice cream cones. #stayclassy #stayuseful #noyouarenotanarteeste

Fresh waffle cones are insanely good, ice cream was delicious and some of the smoothest and creamiest ice cream I've had in a long time. The caramels, though, are truly untouchable. This place is an absolute gem. I can't wait to pick up some extra caramels on my way out of town -- I know they'll make the perfect gift!
