Normally very satisfied with the service and products, this time I ordered on-line and had my husband pick up… the product was not exactly what I ordered. Still usable but I can’t help but wonder if the product he brought home might have been a different price than what I actually paid for, despite the sku being precisely the same. Weird.

I could not find an item that was listed as in stock. The CSS told me that they were outside and I had to find them myself. I completed the purchase and was left to myself to find the items. After searching the store and parking lot twice I told the same CSS I still could not find them and was told I could purchase a different item.
Is it really that hard to just show a customer where an item is in your store? Terrible service.

Janet was so helpful and patient as she helped me figure out how to fit screens in the warped doors of my 120-year old house. 100% would recommend.

Like a small Home Depot, only much more expensive and without the lumber. I don't mind paying 10-15% more to keep my $ local, but... Yesterday, I went in to buy supplies needed to hang 20 feet of gutter, and my total was $140 plus tax! I was shocked but blamed it on inflation and moved ahead with the purchase. When I got home, I built the same list of materials online at HD and Lowe's, and my total was $80. That's a 75% premium at Aubuchons! I double and triple checked, but no mistake. Sorry, that's too much. With pricing like that, I will go only when I have no choice.

Admittedly I often try to avoid Aubuchons as their prices seem to be significantly higher than most competitors, even small local hardware stores (hence the 4/5 instead of 5*). I realize the employees have absolutely nothing to do with this, and I have to give a big shout out to Janet and the South Barre store for being enormously helpful with a variety of window screens that I have been bringing in in various states of disrepair. They (and especially Janet) are polite, helpful and their prices--at least for screen repair--seem significantly better than a variety of other stores and even online. Thanks y'all!

Very little wood options, no opportunity to cut wood at site and employees were rude and offstandish when asked for help or advice.
This is the opposite experience I have at my hometown store in Springfield, VT.
Whoever Gloria is, manager, owner etc. Needs to work on her customer service skills. NO need to be curt when I'm about to spend 300$ at your store and if I was closer to home I certainly would not have chosen this place. Very disappointed in the shopping and purchasing experience here.

Wow..I never get service like that anymore. A clean restroom is always appreciated and my items were carried to my car and everyone was nice. So rare. I would give them ten stars if I could. They did hit me up for a donation which I usually resent but the donation was for the local high school !!!!! and not some corporate charity that pays their executives millions. Thank you for showing me that decency and customer service and local charity still exist.
