a real "general store" in a period building (magnificent door handle)! run by the same family for several generations. Incredible choice, you can have a snack (very very good and varied) on a community table, great for chatting with locals or passing through.

Special Little gem ? in Vermont! Get your souvenirs online or in person I recommend in person as they have some of the most delicious wraps and a unique setup for where you order vs. Where you pick up that makes you walk through the store because the kitchen is in the middle all in all a better customer experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐If you miss this you're missing out!

Cute little country store located a few minutes off the main stretch in Arlington. We stop here every year before our camping trip to stock up on local milk, bacon, coffee etc. Small but good selection of alcohol. The sandwiches are also excellent.

With 4 generations running the store, it's a very Vermont experience...sit at community table by deli and you never know who you'll be striking up a conversation with...we had homemade soup, fresh deli sandwiches made to order and mom's pumpkin roll...if you can't find it here at the Wayside then you won't need it whether you're visiting or a local...one of our favorite places to stop when in southern VT...see you in February!
