Neat place for a treat, and to take a look at the Norman Rockwell exhibit. Tons of interesting history at the exhibit if you enjoy nostalgia. The maple creamee ice cream is outstanding!

A sugar junkie's dream come true. They (seem to) have everything maple syrup related, including maple syrup processed on-site. They also sell honey-based condiments and snacks, Vermont cheeses, and a variety of non-edible gifts. The Norman Rockwell exhibit was also interesting. They offer options to ship your purchases, so you don't overload your luggage when you return home.

I was looking for something super Vermonty when visiting from out of town and Sugar Shack did not disappoint. I stopped by around 11 am on a Friday and my husband and I were the only customers. They had samples of different maple syrup’s to try which was nice. We got lots of maple goodies including amber syrup, maple candy, maple butter, maple coffee beans and a maple ice cream milk shake. Yum! Will plan our next visit for when we can watch them make the syrup. Also, pleasantly surprised to walk through the Norman Rockwell exhibit in the store. So random but idealistic!

This is a great spot for tourist and locals alike. I love the maple creemees, maple glazed sugar cookies, and cider donuts. If you’re in the area during sugaring season, the air smells wonderful and it’s interesting to step inside the actual sugar shack to see the process! You can get various sizes of maple syrup in various strengths, plus they sell infused maple syrups, jams, maple candy, local cheeses, etc. Plus they have a small Norman Rockwell museum focused on the art he made while in Arlington, with photos of and interviews with locals who he used as models. If that wasn’t enough, just next door, they have a Ramunto’s restaurant, so you can grab some food before your creemee.

Pretty cool country store with all sorts of items, cider doughnuts, and even an exhibit of Norman Rockwell's work. Real Vermont charm.

The Cider Donut Sammish is incredible! The maple ice cream in it is amazing too. Wow. We are definitely stopping by here on our trips to the VT ski resorts! The staff is super friendly too! We also bought maple fudge and maple syrup- all made there. :)
