I really like the people at Albert post office they are very kind and the postal driver that comes to my home when I have large packages she brings them to the door and she has always been very kind and that's what I got to say about Alburgh postoffice

STOLE 50$ from my parents and refused to deliver the package or refund the money. They literally sent the package back to my parents and kept the money. With employees like the ones at the alburgh post office it’s not hard to see why the postal service is failing miserably. The employees at the alburgh location being rude and nasty is already a given, but taking 50$ for a guaranteed delivery, not delivering the package and then refusing to refund the money is a new low even for the alburgh post office. If you want to know why the postal service is failing it’s because of employees like the ones in Alburgh. Straight up stealing from customersWouldn’t be surprised if after reading this review they start suddenly “losing” my parents mail as retaliation. If your willing to lie to a customers face, and steal their money then your willing to do worse. Honestly it really makes wonder if they actually did process the refund afterwards, put 50$ In their own pockets and just lied about it to keep the money. Theft is theft. forwarding all the information to the office of the inspector general, so that they can properly investigate this location. It’s sad the lengths this has to go but it’s hard to imagine my parents are the first people this location has STOLEN from

I'm sure maybe not all the employees there are like what I've experienced, but getting mail is like the lottery. You never know if you'll get your mail on time, or several weeks from then. I had to tell my friend to stop sending food in time sensitive packages to me because the mail carrier held onto them for weeks and never left a note saying they were there, letting them spoil. Small packages have been crumpled like they were just stepped on or crushed, newspapers have had the middle pages cut/slashed, packages have been tied around the electrical pole around a wire/cord instead of put in the mailbox that could accommodate it, invitations to special events have shown up way late past the RSVP timeframe. Our brand new mailbox we had put up a few years ago (to comply since the old one from previous tenants was in bad shape) had the door ripped off it's hinges not even 2 weeks in. No appologies, no offers to replace, not even a note. Nothing. Stands to figure we now know how the old one ended up so battered. Getting mail has become more like a hostage negotiation where we do whatever they demand and hope our mail comes to us at all, and hopefully in one piece. I never, in all the time I received mail from St. Albans (who's carrier also required a grabber tool for physical needs) EVER had this much disrespect or disregard for my mail or packages. Ever.
