They won't deliver signature deliveries, they'll just post a note and make you pick it up after the weekend. I get disappointed whenever I see anything getting delivered to my local USPS due to delays

I mailed a package to my nephew who lives in a suburb of Washington DC on a Monday and he received it on Wednesday. That's pretty good service. Great job
