I wish I could give them negative stars, 10 of them! But I also know I can't pull them down much lower than the 1+ they currently have. Nobody chooses to do business with them. They're a collection agency with a mortgage ID.

Mortgage was transferred here 5 months ago. Worst mortgage company I’ve ever had by a mile. Nothing but issues, called them more times in 5 months than I’ve called my previous 20 years of mortgage companies combined. Every time I call customer service the rep lies to me and doesn’t fix my issues. Just a revolving doors of lies. When I talked to a supervisor she recommend I refinance with another company. By reading other reviews it appears this is just the norm for them. Unfortunate I was forced here and can’t get out without refinancing and doubling my interest rate. This should be illegal. Not to mention the try to add a fee at every turn. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

Horrible company to do business with!! SPS purchased my mortgage November 1, 2023. There have been nothing but problems and continuous lies from them regarding account issues that they created when they purchased my mortgage. They decided to drop my homeowners insurance and not notify me. It’s now been nearly 4 months of me having to contact them with my insurance company to try to get it resolved. They still haven’t resolved it. They’re in no hurry to get my insurance added back on and I’m in constant queue of waiting for someone to call me back. If you have the option RUN from this company as fast as you can!!!

TERRIBLE. I've dealt with some bad mortgage companies in the past, but these guys take the cake. Then again, Mortgage companies are like Internet Service Providers, are there really any good ones? In the most recent of shenanigans with SPS, they sent me a letter stating they found they had made an error in my modification agreement. They admitted they had been charging me the "incorrect interest rate" for 12 months, TWELVE months, and then they have the nerve to put a 2-week deadline on the paperwork for me to sign to have this corrected or it would remain as is for the life of the loan.I'm in the military, I'm gone for weeks, if not months, at a time. By the time I come home and sort through my mail, the deadline has already passed. I called SPS right away to check and make sure this wasn't a scam. They confirmed it was legitimate and told me to send in the signed paperwork anyway. I sent it in and followed up with several phone calls to make sure it went through. They assured me they had received it, and were processing it and would let me know once it went through. I left for a couple months for work, didn't hear back from them (never do). Came back, looked at my bank statement, and they were still drawing the same amount out. I call them, only to have the customer service rep have no idea what I was talking about - I swear you have to do their job for them. Every customer service rep assures you they are putting all the notes in your account for the next person. Well, either the previous rep is incompetent at taking notes or the next one is incompetent at reading notes, because you always have to re-explain the entire situation. Anyway, no one at SPS talks to each other, the departments don't even have contact info for each other, the workers are hamstrung by the organization, and when things get missed, no one has a clue why. So this poor lady trying to help me didn't know why they hadn't processed it, finally found a note saying the "offer" had expired because they never received the paperwork. She "escalated" it for review (I'm not holding my breath) and told me there's no guarantee they will approve it. I told her, how are they going to make a mistake, over-charge me because of it, and then act like it's my fault they didn't fix it, because I didn’t meet their BS deadline? That's robbery and extortion. I don't even bother calling my "relationship manager," bec I have never gotten through to her whenever I've tried calling her. These company's take advantage of people and don't even bat an eyelid about it.

On March 29, 2023 I sent in $37, 059.23 to Select Portfolio Servicing to be applied towards my monthly payments which would have covered a total of 12 months, since I already had a partial credit on my account. That means my next monthly payment would have been due on April 1, 2024. Since then I have had nothing but trouble. It began with a phone call from SPS Mortgage saying I was past due on my account for the May 1, 2023 payment. I let the representative know that the large payment was to be applied to my monthly payments, representative said okay and she would take care of it. Over the next several months I had several phone calls and letters saying I was past due. I had to continue explaining how the payment was to be applied to several representatives and managers since SPS Mortgage kept reporting me as past due. I was always reassured by Managers and representatives that this would be handled. When the calls continued and past due letters kept coming I finally requested my money back. SPS Mortgage stated they are unable to refund me my money nor can they apply the money towards my monthly payments and that I am now being reported to the credit reporting agencies as past due. I am also to resume my payments or my home will go into foreclosure! I didn't know what to do so I sent in 2 more payments in October of 2023 to cover the past due months and SPS Mortgage is now expecting me to make my next payment on November 1, 2023. My credit report is down by 50 points because of the past due reporting which is now affecting my other credit accounts and I cannot afford to keep making these double payments. SPS Mortgage didn't seem to care and let me know that if I don't then my home would be reporting as past due, continue getting late fees and added interest and go into foreclosure. Please Help!

Poorly run business! This group should be renamed, "Run Around Central" because that's all you'll ever get week after week after week. My experience with representative Sherry Sawyer (and Maria, Monica, Deborah, etc.) has been nothing but frustrating! They are the queens of smoke & mirrors. These folks are supposed to protect mortgage investors' assets, but end up exacerbating damage to those assets. I wouldn't let these folks service my dog house mortgage (if I had one)!

This used to be my favorite building because of the Ritz Theater and Hollywood Connections. I loved it there, and I hate the fact the most unpromising mortgage company bought this building. We should file a complaint to the manager/CEO of this company to move it to another building or shut this overrated mortgage company down. They should listen to us, because their slogan is “We are here for you”, but there not really. This company is a scam, and they pulled the rug. They’re not getting better. I just want the Ritz theater and Hollywood Connections to reinstate at this very building once and for all.

These a-holes try to raise my mortgage payment every which way. They send me a check for escrow overpayment then later you get a notice stating an escrow shortage and unless you send a check to cover the shortage your next billing will be higher. However when I send a check to cover the shortage my payment goes up anyway . Here is the kicker on the same day I received in the mail a check from my escrow account and a notice of escrow shortage, well DUH.Something very fishy going on there. So I'm cancelling my escrow account and taking control of the insurance and taxes myself. I'm sick of these nefarious operators.
