We drive down from Idaho and absolutely love this market. Our daughter in law is from Sierra Lione and it’s the best place to get Africian cooking ingredients, fish and their clothing is beautiful. We bought several dresses for the wedding. The owner is so inviting and helpful when we had questions!!! This is the place if you want to find anything local.

We went to buy African clothes for a family reunion. Bought mine and my husbands clothes. It’s very expensive, and they don’t even hem the clothes. The salesman was very kind to us the first day. But when I went to return my outfit because I found something else to match my girls and cheaper. He was not happy. He had an angry face. He wasnt so kind like the first day. I returned my outfit but bought my sons. He was taking forever to return mine so I said just give my sons to me at the same price as mine. He did it with no hesitation. My outfit was 79.99. My sons was 59.99. I wouldn’t recommend this place!

My son is doing a cruising through the continents project at school, and his continent is Africa. I asked Facebook if they had any recommendations on a store or place to get authentic African food/drink. Many people recommended this store or the one downtown. We went there today, and I asked the store owner what he would recommend. He walked my son and I through the store and talked about many products that would be good for 75 first graders. Ultimately my son picked out chin-chin. We will definitely be back to try a few other items. The owner was awesome, and very friendly.

Power is a very nice man. He is very friendly and considerate. His customer care is very superb. You can find anything African here. Its my favorite store to shop for native food be it Nigerian, Ghanaian or east African.

The store owner, Power is great. He takes good care of his customers, friendly, and provides great service. Both of his store locations ( West Valley & South SLC) carry a nice variety of african and carribean food items, as well as hair products, and skincare. This is just a fraction of what he carries, there are tons more. I am a happy customer!
