I arrived and had to wait nearly an hour to have my hair cut. I am from Ogden and was in the area, so I decided to have my hair cut, and it was long overdue. The lady stylist got the "clipnotes" and asked if the last time I got my hair cut was what I wantes this time as well. I told her yes, and she got to work cutting. She was polite, good for conversation, and overall very pleasant. However, when she got to the top of my head, she asked if I wanted clippers or scissors. I told her I would like it done by scissors. I told her 1" on top would be great, 3/4" would be the shortest I'd like. The haircut proceeded, and I was unable to see how it was going because she asked me to remove my glasses. After she had cut my hair with scissors, she asked me if it was short enough, and I told her it was way too short. She proceeded to argue with me over how long an inch is. I am a blue collar worker and know very well how long an inch is, and she cut my hair horribly. That's okay, because hair grows back. What is not acceptable to me is that you argued with me over it, on something that you are clearly wrong on, and didn't even try to apologize for it. I will never go to the West Valley Great Clips on 5600 South EVER again, and I may even stop going to Great Clips in general. Moral of the story is that if you mess up, admit it, don't argue with the customer. I get it, we all make mistakes. My hair will eventually be corrected. My poor experience will not though.

I really like the great clips located in west valley. Every time I come into this location I’m greeted with hi Maria, how are you doing, and always make me feel welcomed and valued as a customer. With that being said I value being asked what are you looking for today, not following what a piece of paper says and really learn what my likes and dislikes are and taking the time to give a haircut I like. I do NOT like if I’m put in a chair hair shaved and takes 5 minute and feel like your only job is to get me out of the store fast as possible. That’s not how you should run a business. Getting a haircut takes time and building valuable relationships with a hairstylist, I love all the hair stylists here and appreciate them taking care of me.
You can’t put time on quality if you rush and make mistakes because your meeting quotas you’re going to make customers mad and lose business. I haven’t had any issues with west valley location, just don’t rush the process ;)

I used this salon because it was close to where I was staying in West Valley City. I made the appointment for the same day and within the hour. I was so glad, I really needed a good pixie cut for the summer. My stylish was an with all women styles considering this stylist was my first male hair stylist/professional in my life. The appointment was very professional. He asked me what style I needed and knew the cut. I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Chair 1 if you need a great haircut. Great job!

Great service, the staff is very friendly and they record the user's preferences in terms of style. The stylists also have nice recommendations to improve the look.

Got my hair cut done there and my hair was cut completely oneven one side of my hair was longer and the other side of my hair was shorter which I am not happy about it was done by a guy to aswell
