Robert is awesome! His customer service and common sense is on point. Friendly, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. Cummins has a great employee in "will call". Thank you Robert from all of us at Charlie's Service.

Service personnel were very unfriendly and the generator that I brought in for repairs that was only a year old the throttle linkage vibrated apart the service people had a poor excuse for why it happened.

I called to set an appointment and the scheduler was very organized and explained the warranty process and drop off process. It was about 2 weeks and we dropped off the machine. The service writer was very friendly and got us in and we dropped off the trailer. Trailer generator was serviced for a no power output issue and they had it done in 3 days. Check out process was easy.

Meh! RV Generator Service. Just wanted to share an experience - might help someone else. Have an Onan Microlite 2800 generator on an RV ( camper van). Starting to run rough and was hard to start. Decided to change oil, spark plug, air filter, and fuel filter. Not that hard to do, but the access is challenging. So I decided to take it to the Onan dealer - Cummins. ( Salt Lake City)They quoted me - not to exceed-. $350. Took 6 weeks to get an appointment. Again, a bit expensive for simple maintenance, but they have a drive over pit.Got there and they told me it would be $550. When I protested they said they got rid of their "flat rate pricing." When, I asked. " Last week." The tech was out sick so they had an apprentice do the job they estimated at 2.5 hrs. ( I doubt it took that long.) No discount for the unsupervised apprentice. And they charged me for 2 quarts of oil (it took one.)Got it home and put it in storage for the winter. I checked on it a few weeks later and noticed oil dripping from the drain plug. Tried to tighten it and it wouldn't tighten. They must have stripped it or over tightened it. I called them and they said they would look at it under warranty (90 days). Taking it out of storage until Spring was super challenging, but they were inflexible. But this how they got 2 stars: In the Spring I talked to the Service manager (Travis). He took responsibility for the leak and changed out the oil pan. Now all is good. But, I'll go elsewhere next time.

Update to my Review of Cummins Generator Service. Got the Camper RV home and put it in storage for the winter. I checked on it a few weeks later and noticed oil leaking from the oil drain plug (they changed the oil.) Tried to tighten the drain plug and it wouldn't tighten. They either stripped or over tightened the plug. They told me to bring it back on warranty (90 days). It was kind of impossible to pull it out of storage at that point until spring. They were not going to be flexible on this. To add to this they charged me for 2 quarts of oil. Only takes one.

Techs helped us with an issue on our exhaust brake, after having 3 other companies try, then pass us on to someone else. Taking doughnuts today to say Thanks!

Don't buy anything Generator from them. As soon as your Generator breaks down they want to charge you the same price as you originally bought the Generator for. Horrible customer service. Will not never buy anything cummins ever again. I haven't even but 100 hours on my cummins generator yet and it broke down on me twice. When I asked them they said ("that's not our brand we just put our logo on it so it can sale")Go buy Honda or any other brand and save your self the money and the headache that comes with Cummins.

Cannot say enough about the bad customer service from this place I took my generator in to be serviced and they broke the front access hatch. It was not broke when I dropped the RV off but somehow it managed to break while they had it. When I contacted them about it they refused to even acknowledge that possibly they had broke it. Their customer service rep escalated our conversation and then probably hung up on me. There are lots of alternatives.

The most unhelpful woman I’ve ever dealt with. The service at the parts department is deplorable. I will gladly pay extra for my parts rather than ever spend my money at this location ever again.

Do not. I repeat do not let them try and fix your Onan generator. They have no idea what they are doing. This place had my generator for over a month and couldn’t even tell me what is wrong with it. These guys are ONAN! And they cant even fix it. They never return calls and they have no internal communication. It takes 10 minutes every time we call for them to even figure out what generator I’m talking about. Save yourself the headache and take anywhere but here.

I was grateful they were able to diagnose my exhaust manifold leak a few hours after arriving on a Thursday morning and order parts to get them in the following Tuesday. I was quoted 12 hours labor which seemed reasonable at the time, but then it became apparent the standard hours time estimate was 50% off for my coach. It took them 6 hours to do the work, but I was charged for the whole 12 hour estimate. Techs can be very efficient but doing the work in 6 vs the 12 house quoted makes me think their standard estimation process needs to be fixed. A reasonable person would take an issue with that. The extra $1000 labor charge that wasn't used made what was a 5 star experience end up seeming like I got taken to the cleaners. I sent them a message right afterward, couple weeks ago now to be contacted about that. But that hasn't happened. Nor do I think it will happen now.
