I moved away for a few years and they used to provide a code on the receipt you could use to provide customer feedback. They are apparently not doing that any more. Considering my visit today was feedback worthy, I'm using Yelp. Overall they are a pretty good store but I previously shopped at the Kaysville Smith's which is nearly identical except for the fact the employees are friendly in Kaysville. Today we had Donna at the checkout. I'm sure she's great at her job but she's about as friendly and welcoming as a kick in the groin. I had 3 heavy and bulky items loaded under my cart (2x cases of water and a bag of epsom salt that I offered to use the scanning gun on but nope, I had to remove them to get scanned on the belt and reload them back under the cart. Thanks for making my otherwise decent shopping experience mostly sucky Donna.

Love the meat department and their specialty cheeses in the deli. Great quality for great value. I do my other grocery shopping here just for the meats and cheese.

My husband and I went for the first time a few days ago and the store was very nice. Clean with lots of options. My low review is due to the customer service we received at check out. Our cashier Donna didn't great us and just asked for my phone number. I told her we were new to Utah and didn't have a card yet. My husband then states, but we'd love to get one. She ignores us and starts to scan items. She gets to my frozen items and their is a bag of frozen spinach that busts open. She tosses it to the side and cleans up the area where she is scanning. My husband and I both see it busted so he goes to grab another bag. During this time I had mini Dr Pepper I had purchased and the plastic rings that secure it apparently had broken when the bagger came to bag. Leaving a few on the ground she starts to put them in my cart. Instead of putting them in a bag now I have about 5 mini dr peppers just sitting in my cart. Also I had bought cookies from the bakery and instead of having them flat in the bag. They were tossed on their side with other items causing them to break. Then Donna finishes ringing us up. Saying nothing to us and I asked her is she was able to ring up the spinach because my husband got another bag. She said what? It explained what happened moments ago and she looked at me. Grabbed the open bag of spinach and scanned it. At that point my husband was back and asked if we were able to get the rewards card. She then finally decided to respond with, her drawer is locked and we can go to customer service. I almost could understand some of the behaviors if she was busy however we checked out at 0815 on a Saturday morning... Hardly anyone in the store. It's disappointing when the store was so nice but the service is so bad.

This place is awesome! I only wish they'd order bigger quantities of root beer. Every time I go I end up leaving having spent several minutes looking at their large selection of drinks only to find the root beer has sold out. All in all that is my only complaint. They could be so much worse. I prefer this store over Walmart and Winco

They stopped stocking Diet Dr. Pepper in the bottles of all things! I can get it at other Smiths but not the one closest to me which stinks. When I asked a manager he said it was a corporate decision. When I talked to the Dr. Pepper guy he said he tried to talk them out of it. What the???

Not great experience. Evertime i come here seems like cashier seem to hate their jobs. I went to the bakery to order a cake today not much help. Customer service needs to be addressed. She didnt seem please to help me. She didnt have a name tag on that i saw. Talking to other employees while in the middle of taking my order. I was asking for yellow cake. She said oh we cant do that only on instore orders we put in the bakery. I asked for one of the licensed cake on the catalog. She then says we dont have that in its a photo cake we have to charge an extra 15 dollars on top of the cake. Isnt that why its a cake kit? Why do u have it out if i cant order this. So basically your telling me i can't order a yellow flavored cake or licensed cake i see you have up in Flavor cakes on the board and in the catalog. Waste of my time. And she kept talking to other employees while taking my order very unprofessional. I will not be coming back.

Great looking store. Lots of items you may not be able to find elsewhere locally. Frank in the Meat/Seafood department is always friendly and quick to help. Thanks!

This store is so awesome! It's very clean and has a nice deli/lunch place with a big salad bar. I havent tried the food yet, but hope to one day for lunch. The produce section is very nice and organized. There is a ton of space between the sections. They have an awesome bakery and a cool cheese section with many unique types of cheese. The seafood/meat section is very diverse. I got some chicken thighs bone in and skin on. They were fabulous for dinner. I also noticed a grill station but I am not sure what exactly it's for. This is a Smith's Marketplace so they had clothing as well. I noticed some carhart shirts that my husband loves so I will be back. The Starbucks is also a perk. Who doesn't love some coffee while shopping. I cannot wait to be able to take a lunch during work and try the salad bar and many other options they have in the deli.

Clean store, really good sales sometimes though prices are generally high (cereal "on sale" for $2.99, while at Walmart it's $2.54 regular price, etc.), food generally fresh. Deli section pretty good, butcher is generally good but sometimes hit and miss, cashiers and baggers are good, quick check-out helpers are great, lines are usually kept short. Customer service is generally good, the younger customer service guy was awesome, but have had two problems with a woman there--she absolutely refused to give a rain check when the printed ad clearly said they would (had to call the store manager on that one and remind them of legal problems, but we still had to go to SLC to pick up the item!), and someone marked an in-store sale price but they would not honor it--it was a mess-up (and the on-sale item even rang up at the original price, lol). Most importantly: we catch Smiths overcharging us from 1/3-1/2 the time we go there (most of the time it's because the system is not updated). And that's after trying to figure out what the heck the cash register is showing the price to be--their register screen and sale method is so convoluted, it's like they're trying their best to hide what's happening. Advertising one price and charging a higher price is not cool, Smiths.

I want to give a very accurate review, so here it goes. 1. Environment- always clean and organized 2. Cashiers- seem to hate their job because they have that look of disgust on their faces and are not sociable. Smiles go a long way and can even help you in return. 3. Deli- superb customer service, everytime. 4. Butcher- Frank is the kindest butcher ive ever met at a grocery store. When everyone else behind that counter would rather clean up and go home, Frank is always there to great me with a smile. Nice job Frank! 5. Pharmacy- the pharmacy is amazing. They put up with all of my requests and are very knowledgeable and supportive. Thanks pharmacy team. 6. Produce - fabulous produce team. They always help me when I can't find something. If I could make any recommendations, it would be to sell Deli Dixi pickles and boost the cashier moral

This is our favorite grocery store. Clean and well-stocked with a friendly and helpful staff, and if you know where to look, you can find excellent deals on groceries as well as on kitchen items (I picked up a $40 set of silverware for $15 in 2017). Regular staples like eggs, milk, butter, and bread will randomly be on ridiculous sales. I got a quart of milk for 86 cents the other day. Make sure to swing by the kitchen items section, the bakery, and the meat section for the best deals. Scattered around the store are little shelves and kiosks, usually unmarked, stocked with sale items. Good luck! You'll want to ensure you have a Smith's card to take full advantage of price slashes. Other than that, enjoy. We hope to see you there!
