We have had a fantastic experience with the Team at Sit Means Sit. Communication about appointments has been great and they were flexible when we needed to make a last minute change.
The trainers clearly love dogs and our dog had no hesitation going into the training facility each day which made us trust that she was getting the right care and attention despite being under intense training.
The follow up session has been incredibly valuable, and the homework exercises have been tailored what is important to us, rather than rigid training exercises.
We have noticed a significant difference in our dog in a short period of time and also know that with ongoing group training, our dog (and her humans) will continue to improve.
I am really happy to recommend Sit Means Sit.

Abby, was almost 1 1/2 when she went to Board & Train at Sit Means Sit. I adopted her at 1 year. She’s an Aussie and very smart and active. I picked Board & Train for her, she needed confidence and I am a full-time caregiver for my spouse, and didn’t have the time or energy to devote to give her a good start. It was very hard giving her up for 2 weeks but worth it. I appreciate the time that was devoted to her by the trainers and the experiences she had that I didn’t have time for. The follow up classes I take her to on Saturdays are continuing to build her confidence and socialization. She is amazed to be around sometimes 40 people and 40 + dogs, an experience I wouldn’t have with her without Sit Means Sit.
We learned about Sit Means Sit from a good friend who used them with their 2 Dobermans in Cleveland. We first experienced them by boarding our dogs when John & Teresa were there. We have also referred several friends to them.

The team at sit means sit have been absolutely amazing! They were so accommodating when we had a new baby and came out to our home to meet our Koda and discuss with us training options and help us find the best fit! We did the 5 day Day Training and have been over the moon with how great it’s been! We were worried with training Koda he would loose his fun little personality but really training with him has just helped us have more control during times that are needed and important and he is still his goofy little self. James and Sage have been such wonderful trainers at personalizing the training to Kodas puppy behaviors and Koda loves seeing them! We highly recommend this program to anyone!

My 18-month lab was very hard to manage. He’s still got his puppy energy and is 75 pounds. He pulled, jumped up on people, and generally misbehaved. Walks were a chore and it was impossible to even let him in the house. After Sit Means Sit’s board and train program, he’s a different dog. He will stay in his place for hours while I work. No more pulling on the leash during walks. He’s much more enjoyable and affectionate. I would never believed this could happen so quickly. James is a miracle worker.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Sit Means Sit! After a 12-day board and train, our dog has shown amazing improvement. She has excelled with commands like sit, place, come, heel, and many more. We’re thrilled with her progress and can’t wait to continue her training in the group classes. Thank you to the entire team for helping our pup become her best self!

We have enjoyed Sit Means Sit immensely. Both our dogs responded extremely well to the training, understood all of the commands and are better behaved. They and we enjoy the endless follow up training classes. The trainers are courteous and extremely knowledgeable. You can feel how much they truly love our Winston and Minney as well as all of the other dogs at weekly training class. Anyone’s dog who goes to Sit Means Sit will benefit from the training and genuine caring.s
Thanks!

I love them! They have helped so much with my 2 dogs. They have been able to help with my stubborn dachshund! They really care about the dogs and I didn’t have to worry if they were safe.

Wow we had our dogs boarded and trained and they went from annoying, problematic members of our family to obedient, joyful, playful, loving, pleasant members of our family! Honestly I was on the verge of saying we couldn't keep the dogs, and they're so cute so that would be such a shame, but they made it so I love having these dogs in our house! I love taking them to the weekly group trainings and refreshing their skills. I was even able to take them to work and they just sat patiently on my desk. So cute!

We brought our mini Aussie for the 20 day board and train due to his and reactivity to other dogs and have not been disappointed! He has improved SO much from his training. Before finding Sit Means Sit, we felt paralyzed by his reactivity to everything that taking him anywhere was virtually impossible due to his extreme anxiety and overwhelm in any sort of new situation. We’ve had him home for 3 weeks now and the follow up lessons have been instrumental for us in really learning more about how to build his confidence and work with him to ease his anxiety. He has his first group class this weekend and are so excited to continue working with the trainers here, they have been wonderful!
