Beware of placing your cash into CD's with Mountain America CU. Their 'reach back' and penalties into your interest is abusive. A six month CD can be more like a three month CD. They pose a good interest rate but have built in ways to undermine your return for placing your cash with them. Check the default conditions 'you' sign up for in their applications. They'll getcha.

These were the easiest transactions I have ever made, not to mention the way I felt that Michelle Zarate really cared about what would work for me after patiently listening to my current circumstance and also plan for the future. Having been in banking and lending management for most of my career, I was sincerely impressed with her and the credit unions' desire to help it's members and did so with my upmost satisfaction. Thank you Mountain America Credit Union and Michelle Zarate.

ATM never works at this location. For a brand new location you’d think they’d have this fixed?? I have to withdrawal cash from a different credit union each time. This has been the fifth time over the last few months I’ve tried to pull cash from here so it’s not a new issue. Definitely skip this ATM lol it’s not worth it.

Called in because they froze my account, they told me they’d call me back because they had to look into it. Called me back the next day and transferred me to the fraud department and I’ve been on hold for 2 hours. I’m actually writing this review on hold. I have my mortgage through chase and also a checking account and I will be moving everything to them.
Also don’t get their credit card, super low limit and it’s a hard inquiry every time you even apply to raise that limit. Amex is my favorite for cards. Also no hard inquiries if you want to up your limit, and they are super liberal with your limit.
