I had an emergency and my usual vet wouldn't fit us in. I called and VCA helped us even though we had never been there. Sadly, there was not much that could be done for my little dog but the office and vet were so amazing. They even allowed us to take her home to say goodbye to the kids and come back. So professional and compassionate. Thank you!

We waited months for a grooming appointment just to be turned away due to lapse in vaccination. My wife was told our dog could get the vaccination when we came in for the grooming appointment, but that was not the case. They offered another appointment a month out. No thanks, waste of time.

My dog was first seen on 7/21/2022. Laney was extremely awesome to deal with. Got me in quick and could tell that along with my dog being stressed so was I. As the days past he started to get worse, I called the morning of 7/27/2022, on my previous visit I was told if he doesn't get better to bring him back in. I'm unsure of the lady I spoke to today but she was the absolute worse. Completely rude with no customer service skills or compassion. My dog is sick and in pain, and she treated him and me like we there to bother her. Completely felt like we was a inconvenience for her. I was there to try and save my dog, and I walked out because of her. They really need to put better people in the front with a little compassion. Would never bring any animal to them again!!!!

Dr. McMullen is the best. He seems to know exactly what the problem is with my animals. I have brought in a few cats and dogs and his diagnosis was always exactly what was wrong. He also seems conservative with treatment when you need him to be - no unnecessary procedures. I highly recommend this veterinarian hospital and Dr. McMullen.

They are awesome! Real animal lovers! And they did SO good at making my nervous girl feel comfortable!

My first visit there was great! Everyone was kind and helpful and sweet to my pet. All visits after that were not good. Staff barely acknowledged me and if I asked a question they didn't want to answer. One day a staff member bad mouthed a client right in the reception area. Only kind staff are the newcomers. Needless to say I'm looking for a new Vet!

If I could I would leave a zero star, for these bastards. We had a dog by the name Clive for 11 years. We recently brought Clive over here. To have a growth removed on his foot. They ran multiple tests on him. They removed both the growth and one of his toes. After the operation, his personality totally changed. We called them back and were told, "not to worry. Its normal after a operation and not to worry." We took their word for it, they are the experts after all, right? A month later Clive is still acting strange. We took him, he started losing a lot of weight and his eating habits changed and stopped. He started throwing up everything up even water. We took him to a different vat to have him looked at. We showed them the report given to us by VCA. They looked over the report and said "what were they thinking, there's all type of red flags here." Clve had diabetes, pancreatitis, ketoacidosis and a mass in his liver." The poor little guy was in immense pain. But VCA said nothing was wrong with him. The doctors at VCA only wanted the money for his costly operation, not treat my little guy. They left him untreated for diabetes and pancreatitis. Which then turned into ketoacidosis and necrosis of his liver. How can any vet allow this. To let a animal suffer like this. We would have saved him from his suffering. The poor little was in the new vets ICU over night and giving him fluid therapy, antibiotics and pain meds. During the course of the night, Clive developed pneumonia. His oxygen count was 10, when we got there. To say goodbye. He could barely hold his head up and wag his tail only 2 or 3 times. If you do not want your pet to suffer and die a horrible death. DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!! Go somewhere else, please. They are butchers, quacks and hacks here. Stay away. They only care about your money. Not your pet.

My 13 year old dachshund woke up with his right eye shut. I made an appointment with his regular vet, but couldn't get in until 3 days later. So I called this vet to see if he could be seen earlier. When I got into the lobby, the girl at the front desk told me that it would be a $90 charge, which no one told me about! Since my dog's eye was fully open, we turned around and left. I took most of the day off work, so used my PTO! It was a waste of my time going there. My vet charges $40 for an exam. Whoever answers the phone should of told me that it would be $90. I wouldn't of made the appointment. It's highway robbery!

Dr. McMullin and his staff are amazing! I brought in a timid injured feral cat and the entire staff treated him with such love and care. It's so hard to get a same day appointment in West Jordan and they got me in. I have found my new Veterinarian. Very reasonably priced!

Very unprofessional. Took my dog in an already had a settled price and how they were going to ask us. Once it came to payment time, all the "nice" seemed to go away real fast. Quick uncharges were applied and the services was absolute garbage. Their receptionist Natalie p. Is a real gem with her sarcastic and passive aggressive tones. Not to add on this place looks completely sketchy. If you care about your pet. Find anywhere else.

Unfortunately, this visit was not expected. The doctor found a massive tumor on my cat that was aggressive therefore she was laid to rest. The doctor gave me lots of time to hold her and gave me an option to take the next 24 hrs with her. I chose not to let her suffer and said my goodbyes. The doctor and his staff was very supportive which made the loss bearable. I highly recommend this hospital.

I adore VCA Jordan River and their staff! My little Cooper has been sick for the past few days. Today (Saturday), he was so sick I knew he needed to be seen. I called at 8:30 am and we were able to get in at 10 am. As soon as we arrived, they took us right in. I have been to other vets where I have scheduled an appointment, shown up at my scheduled time and waited HOURS, to just get put into a room. Then, I have sat in that room for hours waiting for a Dr. This has never been my experience at VCA. They are fast, efficient and very friendly. They are always thorough, explain reasons for testing, and explain those costs up front. Dr. Griffith is always great, friendly, and understanding. I've never had a negative experience with any of the staff, and they are all fabulous to interact with. After running a few simple tests, they were able to determine what was causing Coopers illness. A couple days of meds and he will be fine. I can't thank VCA Jordan River staff enough for seeing us so quickly, for treating my sweet Cooper, and for their continued care for all of my fur babies!

Just moved to area and needed my dogs shots and nails done. Staff was amazing usually my dog doesn't like you people she was wagging her tail with everyone there and they knew exactly how to approach her. They took extra precautions because of Covid.
