He installed a barrel improperly on a bolt action. The head spacing was way off and caused jamming issues. I needed another gunsmith to fix the problem.

I have used lee in the past with great results. However the last two guns I had him do turned out very poor. unfortunately I will be finding a new gunsmith for an future work!

I was not at all impressed. I brought an older model rifle in to be tapped for a side mount scope. First off, I had to call and follow up to get it done so it was late to begin with. Then the holes tapped went all the way through instead of stopping at the required depth. To add insult to injury, really the only reason i am giving such a bad review is that the scope mount prevents my bolt from cycling when the scope is in place. This is some I picked up on before I mounted the scope. I would have expected a professional who has been in business for as long as lee to have picked up on this and to have at least brought this to my attention. No I have a useless mount and a rifle that has been greatly devalued by poor work.

Took in a scope to get mounted a nice leupold 6.5x20x40 when I sold the rifle. I took the scope off and it was crush where the front ring mounted to the scope. Also bought a .22 lever action from him took it out to shot and it would fire then it wouldn't took it back got a different .22 but I but the wallet took a hit for it. My friend also had work done by and was not pleased at all.
