What a cool experience! My wife and I came to Open Sky Zion with some friends and I have to say I was blown away. It is located very close to Zion National Park but far enough away off the main road to be very peaceful. The views were spectacular, the beds were very comfortable, and the tents themselves were very unique and relaxing! Just what I needed! Not to mention the restaurant on site was a unique/personable experience with delicious food! Couldn't have been happier with my stay!

Stayed here for 2 nights in early December. And I’m not exaggerating when I say I was absolutely blown away by everything. The location and beauty is second to none, and the quality of the units and amenities is phenomenal. This resort was so thoughtfully created, they didn’t skip over anything. All of the staff were also so friendly and warm. Thomas lives on site and went out of his way to greet us for our 9pm check in. I consider myself very well travelled and this was hands down one of the best hotel experiences of my entire life. You will not regret staying here!! Also our complimentary s’mores roasted over our own fire pit was the cherry on top of everything :)

Absolutely enjoyed our stay here for two nights. Total luxury nestled just outside Zion National Park. Beds were very comfortable and loved sitting outside at night around the fire. Restaurant onsite served up some delicious rustic dishes to fit the ambiance of the whole place and there was live music one night we were there. The small lake and waterfall were a perfect backdrop to some of the casual seating areas. Was also lucky enough to be there during a super bloom of globe mallow wildflowers all along Dalton Wash Rd. Overall, had a terrific experience staying here while visiting Zion National Park and Springdale.

Open Sky Zion is nothing short of spectacular. It is a very unique place and everything about it is special. If you are looking for a resort with lots of people and opportunities to mingle with other guests, this is probably not your place. If you are looking for nature, beauty, seclusion, unique and luxurious accommodations and top quality service, this is your place. Please remember that you are staying in a remote canyon in Utah at a resort that is completely off the grid. If you are going to be upset about not getting water bottles and snacks replenished each day, you are really missing the point. If you excited by the thought of sitting outside by your fire pit at night and star gazing like you are in a planetarium, you will be blown away. That is not to mention the heated floors in the bathrooms, outdoor showers and gas grills. One tip for first time visitors...If you are in a car or nervous about driving on a dirt road, be sure to arrive during daylight. The first time you drive in, is a bit of an adventure. One you make the drive in, it is a piece of cake. Kudos to the owners and staff at OpenSky. You have created an incredible experience for your guests.

We just stayed for 3 nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and what an amazing stay. We wanted a base to explore Zion and stumbled on OpenSky. We stayed in the Star Seeker superior which is probably the nicest place I've ever stayed in. The tent is immaculate, and the designers have tried to make every detail perfect--with indoor and outdoor comfortable furniture, an amazing giant stretched hammock deck outside, and bed with a glass roof inside to watch the vast number of stars. The bathroom is full on over the top with heated floors and open to outdoors while still having privacy. This is a place for you if you want it truly off the beaten path, quiet, peaceful, full of natural beauty and simplicity but with a really upscale experience. Everything is fresh and high end: the towels, linens, blankets, shampoos and lotions. The lights are designed to stay low when you are star-gazing. There's a private hot tub after a day of hiking, and a firepit for s'mores at night. The property is a collection of highly private, peaceful sanctuaries.Black Sage is an expensive but special restaurant with great service-- we are from NYC with lots of great dining, but Black Sage was top notch and authentic, with the perfect soundtracks and the 6 or so tables all enjoying the peaceful and quiet atmosphere.Every single person was wonderful, but need to call out Carrie who knows the parks like a professional and absolutely made our vacation with her recommendations about how to optimize our time, and her energy and joy in sharing her knowledge. This resort is maybe a couple of miles off the main road, and the value is in enjoying the sites, scenery, privacy, and peace. If that's what you're looking for you would be pretty hard pressed to find anything more magical. Thanks Tomas for the recs as well-- make sure to hit River Rock brewing on the way in our out! We were so sad to leave, this was exactly what we were hoping for and we already want to come back.

Open Sky Zion is spectacular! We stayed in the superior star gazing suite. Wow. The most amazing vacation experience of my life. The decor is cozy and lush, the patio is comfortable and relaxing, the cedar tub and outdoor shower so relaxing. The star gazing bed! I could go on and on. My favorite part of this experience was the luxurious accommodations while holding integrity to the land. It is obvious the developers of this 40 acre property put a lot of thought into staying true to the land so people can feel pampered in the natural setting of the Zion National Park area. Great staff. Great views. Great stay. I give Open Sky Zion a standing ovation. Cheers!

Open Sky is the pinnacle of outdoor accomodations. We were 110% satisfied with our stay and highly recommend that anyone visiting Zion experience the luxury of Open Sky for themselves. Located close to Zion, yet off the beaten path and in a quiet canyon of your own, we loved escaping the crowds of tourists each evening and relaxing in the privacy of our yurt. The views from the wrap around porches are absolutely breathtaking. Open Sky thought of everything; from heated floors for a chilly morning, to air conditioning for the heat of the day, from a beautifully tiled indoor shower, to our own private outdoor shower. Our every need was provided with upscale furnishings, and a friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended!

This place hits it out of the ballpark! I’m not sure it even qualifies as glamping as it’s pure luxury. Situated up in the mountains, a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of Springdale, Open Sky is remote with breathtaking views. Our “tent” was nestled against beautiful red rocks and felt very private. The air conditioning was a treat after spending the previous 3 nights glamping at other places without it. Highlights for us included a roomy covered porch with comfortable furniture and a swing. We played cards out there, talked, and I did my yoga in the mornings whileWatching the sun come up. There was an adjacent patio with a fire pit where we sat and roasted marshmallows for s’mores at night. The inside had lots of glass so we could enjoy the view from every angle. We got a stargazer tent where the ceiling above the bed was entirely glass. The sky was so clear and the stars were spectacular! The furnishings were super comfortable and the bathroom was downright decadent with a heated tile floor, stand alone copper tub, and shower with two heads. There was also an outdoor shower. A mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig made it possible for us to eat both breakfast and lunch in our tent. We were also provided with a welcome basket that included all kinds of snacks that came in quite handy for long days in the park. The customer service was excellent. Thomas checked us in and helped us get settled. He was kind, informative, and helpful. He directed us to some hiking poles and sticks for us borrow for our hike through the narrows the next day. They were invaluable! He also suggested continuing up Dalton Wash Rd. to the topof the plateau to watch the sunset. It did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Open Sky and would encourage anyone interested in “glamping” with all the bells and whistles to check it out. It’s absolutely worth it!

This was an lovely location to stay!! The service was beyond amazing. I primarily worked with Noel and she was always a text away. All requests were promptly responded to. The tent was beautiful and very clean. I particularly appreciated the privacy. The best part was being able to see the beautiful sky, including through the ceiling of the skygazer room. The location is also close to the entrance of Zion National Park so there was easy access to get there. I would highly recommend this spot and would come back again in the future. It’s a great way to enjoy nature and “rough it” but with very comfortable, hotel-like accommodations.

Open Sky Zion is the ultimate “glamping” experience. The perfect combination of a remote canyon location, yet a short drive to Springdale and Zion National Park. The “tents” are perfect luxury. Bedrooms, living room, bathroom, outside patio, fire pit, outdoor shower, etc. Great on-site restaurant with gourmet food and refreshing waterfall-fed pond for a cool dip after a day of hiking. Open Sky was everything as advertised, and better than expected. We’ll be back!

The tents are phenomenal, 4 stars definitely. We had reserved 2 tents- Desert Rose and Juniper Berry in early June. Juniper Berry is for a family, the only downside is the living area is quite cramped where the bunk bed, sleeper sofa was. Would have been great if it was more spacious. The bunk bed felt a little rickety. The furniture and aesthetics in tents was beautiful, all West Elm. In comparison Desert Rose felt spacious, only thing though is there's no hooks in restroom for hanging towels. And the keypad for entrance to tent is convenient but at night it's hard to see what you're inputting. A nice touch was the welcome gift basket in each tent. But if you're a family traveling with kids the s'mores kit was not enough. For distance I would give the location 3 stars as we were told from the front desk at Open Sky that it was 20min to Zion National Park, it was actually 30 minutes and the private road to the camp site was a 1-2 mile bumpy, unpaved road that was hard on our minivan. It's great if you have a Jeep. The facility should definitely have a sign at the base for easier navigation and marketing purposes, otherwise it just looks like a deserted dirt road. Black Sage on-site restaurant at main tent had a nacho dish that was delish, this is the only dish that was large in portion size but it was $33! The trout was quite small in portion size and just ok, the burger was great but at $32 it should be. Eating outside on patio is hard due to gnats. There seemed to be a gnat problem at the facility. The indoor dining area should be expanded as it was quite small. If you're a party of 6, it takes up the whole area. The complimentary morning grab n go breakfast was ok, they were often out of frittatas. For the rate and considering it's luxury glamping-how breakfast is presented and selections should be improved. Also, the restrooms located near main check-in tent was not that conveniently located. If they were to expand, it should be indoors. Lastly, the people working at the front desk were friendly enough but not knowledgeable at all about Zion National Park questions ie: rate, parking, hikes, etc. Though you can read about everything online on Zion's website, this was our first time and it would have been nice if they were able to answer our questions with confidence. I don't think we'll be returning, but the tents are a great experience!

This gorgeous glamping tent is the most comfortable and luxurious stay you will experience in the wilderness. We stayed at Desert Rose which was beautiful in a modern yet rustic way. The bed was comfy, there are two sets of showers in the bathroom, the water pressure is perfect, the toiletries (lotion, shower gel, shampoo) smell natural and soothing. The snack basket helped when we arrived hungry after a long drive and we also enjoyed it during our hikes. They give you a smores kit to toast by the fire. The cane porch swing is so fun for you to relax in the mornings and evenings enjoying the view sipping on something. The restaurant 'Black Sage' serves incredibly delicious food! My husband and I were at Zion to celebrate 20 years together and they helped arrange a fantastic romantic package too! We had a memorable time at Zion thanks to Open Sky and the service they provided!
