Don has been great to work with. Gets the work done. And if he can’t then he will let you know. He warranties his stuff great also. Been around a long time I hear. I’ve used him several times with no issues.

I do not recommend this mechanic shop, I came to work for 2 weeks and the first day I arrived after work my transmission broke, I spoke to a guy named Dawn and I asked him if I could leave the car at his shop. He told me yes, so far so good. I thought it was a very good decision to choose that shop. Well, the next day he tells me that there was no rebuilt transmission for that car, that I had to get it directly from the dealer and that the keys were in the car. When I went to get the car the door would not close anymore and all the lights were on. I don't know what the hell they did to it but they are idiots when it comes to doing their job. Anyone who sees this review hopefully my experience will be useful to them.

My wife was in a minor accident in the Vernal Walmart parking lot during the night of January 17, 2019 and we needed our Honda towed to our mechanic (5.3 miles away). The police called Basin Transmission for a tow and they delivered the vehicle the following morning to my mechanic, charging $557: $234 for the hour and a half tow job $75 for an extra person $90 for an overnight storage fee $125 for a "retow" from their storage to my mechanic, down the road less than a mile and across the street. $33 "min" charge, no idea what that is. The tow driver this morning claimed to my mechanic that he told my wife about the storage fee, but this was never disclosed to her or I (I arrived on the scene once the vehicle was loaded). They did tell me they would deliver it in the morning but nothing was mentioned about a storage fee. I told them that I just got off the phone with my mechanic and he was expecting it. He also could have met them at this shop that night but these arrangements were never asked about or suggested. Bottom line is the amount charged is incredibly excessive for the distance from Walmart to my mechanic on the other side of town (again, 5.3 miles away according to Google). I would welcome follow-up from the owner.
