“Recently I worked with Dr. Alan Weidner at Massage Chair Relief to purchase what is now our family’s second massage chair. This is the second time I have worked with Dr. Weidner and to say that each of these purchasing experiences were positive would be a great understatement. During both purchase cycles Dr. Weidner worked with me over-the-phone to ensure he understood exactly what I was looking for, how I wanted to use my chair, what my price-range was, etc. and then provided a series of recommendations (including the suggestion that I do as much independent research on the various chair options as seemed right to me). Even better, Dr. Weidner stayed with me throughout each of these purchasing cycles to ensure I was comfortable before I made my final order, during the time I was waiting for my chair to arrive, and after it showed up and was installed. Quite frankly, I cannot imagine anyone else being as customer and support-oriented as Dr. Weidner and the fact that he is a clear expert in this space who is willing to give his unbiased “pros and cons” for each chair was of huge benefit to my family and I.
As to our most recent purchase, we settled on the Osaki OS-Pro 4D DuoMax and could not be happier with our decision. The chair was not inexpensive but the massage provided by this chair is a major step function better than any other massage chair I have sat in (and during the two buying cycles we went through over the past 10 years I sat in a lot of these chairs). The massage it provides covers the full body from top to bottom and allows for an amount of customization that is both simple to accomplish via its intuitive touch-screen and tremendously helpful in getting exactly what each family member is looking for from the chair at any given time. For example, when one of us is looking for a full-body massage the DuoMax provides a broad series of excellent, pre-set programs that can be set all the way from a gentle, relaxing setting to an aggressive deep-tissue version of the pre-programmed sequences (including setting the time for the session anywhere from 5 to 40 minutes). Similarly, there are a series of preset programs designed to focus on specific areas of the body such as the neck and shoulders or glutes and hamstrings that do a great job or relieving area-specific soreness that can come up from time-to-time. Finally, and in addition to the ability to create any sort of manual program we want, this chair has an AI feature that scans the user’s body and then measures changes in the person’s pulse as the scan takes place to determine what type of massage to use for that particular person at that particular time to achieve maximum impact – a feature that works surprisingly well and is quickly becoming a default for using the chair.
I realize that this is a very positive review to the point where I am not pointing out any negatives but as a practical matter I don’t have any negatives to share re working with Dr. Weidner, his company, or the chairs he recommended both recently and during our initial purchase from him 10 years ago. I would share that there are some limitations to the DuoMax (e.g., it is large and you need enough space in the room where it will be placed, the footwell for the foot massager is only appropriate for size 13 feet and below, and this is certainly not the cheapest option from Osaki or Massage Chair Relief generally), but I could not be happier with our choices first to work for a second time with Dr. Weidner nor to have purchased the chair he recommended. I should note in regard to the post-sale care provided by Massage Chair Relief that during the one time we had a small issue with our first chair, Dr. Weidner stepped right in, made it right, and went out of his way to ensure his solution worked and that I was happy with it. In short, if you are looking to get the right massage chair from a highly ethical and reputable Dealer, this is the place to go.”
