Just a poor excuse for a gym. Maintenance is a joke. If something breaks, expect it to be broken for weeks, and "repaid" with the bare minimum required. Even their new gym is a joke. Four broken machines. The roof leaks, the lights have been broken for two weeks the fans are so off balanced they look like they are about to bring down the ceiling. There aren't enough 45lb bars. The weights are upstairs with the cardio equipment. Half of the building shakes with the treadmills, the whole building shakes when a weight is dropped. It's just sad that 11 million dollars was wasted on a crappy building. Oh and the outside area is full of crappy broken equipment they took from their 24/7 location that they closed. Don't get me started on the parking situation. The fire lane is full of illegally parked cars during their classes. Sometimes it takes 5 minuets to get out of the parking lot because it's designed with one exit and entrance. Maybe have yourself a smoothy, enjoy the %600 markup! I did the math. It costs $1 on average to make one, but they are $6-$10 each. They nickel and dime their clients like no other. $3.06 for an energy drink. Don't get me wrong, it's the nicest gym in southern Utah, and because of that, they take advantage of their clientele.

Lots of classes but gym is always crowded. Meat market place. No loaner mats or even rental mats if you forget yours. Parking lot is usually a nightmare. I will go elsewhere when out of my contract.

At the Sunset location on the bottom level is a large room used for Healthy Posture. This large room is freezing cold. Temperatures are in the 50's! The 2 floor heaters do absolutely nothing unless you are 6 inches in front of it, so heats 3 people out of 17-20 people. We are having to wear 2-4 layers of clothing and many cannot she'd a layer because of the temperature. Numerous complaints have been written in the suggestion box which are not acknowledged because nothing has been done. The instructor is not responsible, the owner is! The owner needs to provide a room which is conducive to teaching a class that has an acceptable temperature. It is obvious this room was poorly constructed, does not have heating ducts, snd has a fuse box that constantly trips because the floor heaters trip them. I am hearing people quitting these classes, not showing up and leaving because of these conditions. This is NOT the instructors fault, this is the fault of an owner is ignoring a situation he knows can't be fixed. I hope this does not fall on deaf ears. Move the class or classes that are taught in this room!

I was very pleased at first, until you see that their salesman are too good and don't tell you the entire truth about what you're signing up for..do not sign for a contract.. in order to cancel membership, you must pay off half of what remainder you owe to them in your term length which for me at the time was $1500.. they do not maintain their other gyms and the newest and greatest one has everyone and their dog going to it with the SMALLEST parking lot and you'll never get a spot in at the time you want to go. Especially in January where all the 'new year new me' people come in and can't get out of their contracts... they pay their employees badly and there are so many people in the 3 buildings we have in st george, it feels like sardines in a can.. and all the buff older men always ask to steal the machine you're using.

Looks nice, clean equipment.... OVERLY BUSY. It's infuriating to see 3 people per weight machine and yet half empty classrooms. Make sure you tour the gym at the time you intend to use it because it is PACKED.

Don’t go here unless you can absolutely go through your entire contract with them. They do memberships based on contracts that you cannot break. Clean facility, nice staff, and good equipment. But I was told that I could cancel my membership, and my wife was told the same thing that it was just the $50. I must have misheard, but I repeated back to the rep (Parker) to make sure I heard him right, and he said yes. Now they are telling me I have to pay out half the contract for my wife and I (about $1,000) to cancel. My mistake, it was my second gym experience. My last gym was planet fitness, $10 a month cancel at any time. I just don’t like that I repeated back to confirm I heard correctly and was told yes. They will likely respond to this saying “the contract, the contract.” But I took the man’s word that was telling me the rules to my face. My fault for trusting someone that just wants my money. Would recommend if you can go your whole contract. But you can probably find a place less crowded for cheaper somewhere else that doesn’t force contracts. No hate, just a misunderstanding that could cost someone a lot of money.

The lack of 10-25lb BUMPER plates is driving me nuts. I have to form a step platform contraption to do deadlifts and hip thrustsThe sign light has been out for a while too. Sucks trying not to miss that turn. Seems petty, but come on yall… ppl pay good money to come

Do not sign a contract with this dishonest business. When I signed up I was told I could cancel anytime for any reason for $59. I've tried to cancel and they won't allow it. They are filthy liars, and there are much less expensive and more helpful gyms around.

After reading the reviews, I am going to stay with VASA... at least they have a guy who fixes their equipment on site....no safety squat bars at either VASA or Summit. Good luck deadlifting at either place... one spot at VASA and none at Summit according to reviews. Squatting is a joke at these places also.

BEWARE NEW CLIENTS! Update: I just received an email that they will continue to bill my card monthly for their outrageous cancellation fees until it is paid off, even though I have a signed cancellation form. And still no call back from anybody as I requested. Unfortunately my husband and I signed a 3 year contract for this gym back in 2020 and although we didn't enjoy going there and haven't gone for the last two years, we fulfilled the contract and they told us we could cancel in November of this year. The atmosphere is dark and dreary and no machines are available during our times there or there's a line of people just waiting and staring at you to get off "their" machine. Multiple machines need repaired as well. My husband and I have even tried a different location which was further from our home and it just didn't work for us. So last Saturday, we went in and signed to cancel, no problems. Signed and done. This would be the time to collect any fees owed, especially if there's a cancellation fee. Only today (4 days later) they are trying to collect more money that was never mentioned at the time of cancellation nor is it stated on the cancellation form. He said my hands are tied so I asked to speak to his supervisor because I wanted to express my dissatisfaction with their delay on collecting said fee and the overall unsatisfactory experience I've had with them. It's not the money-it's that I have had sub par customer service and it still continues. Nowhere on the cancellation form does it mention any fees. They said it's in my original contract, but then I should've been charged at cancellation. I really didn't have a problem until I requested to speak to somebody else that "didn't have their hands tied" and might listen to my valid complaints and he alluded that I would just be sent to collections rather than getting a call back. And still I have wronged them?!? So, again, I say choose carefully! Do your research! There are so many other gyms to go to in our beautiful city! Make sure you are choosing your best fit!

This gym deserves better credit than it’s getting on here. Everyone largely leaves each other alone and is just focused on their own routine. I have yet to have someone interrupt my workout to say some uncalled for spiteful comment, like I’ve had at other gyms. People here are polite and keep to themselves. I appreciate how much they clean this gym. Yep, sometimes you have to dodge an employee cleaning the floors, but I’d rather do that than deal with a staph infection. Equipment gets re-organized daily, too. This gym can get crowded at times making it hard to use whatever it is that you want to do. Use this as a motivator to try new equipment/exercise while you wait for the machine to open up. I’ve even used it as a motivator to wake up earlier to avoid the rush and better my sleep routine. Sometimes this gym can appear like a fashion show, but I’ve learned that nobody really cares what shape or appearance you have. I’m probably one of the leaner dudes in there with often ill-fitting shirts and people have always been nice. More often than not, people just leave you alone and respect your space even when it is crowded. Equipment is really good and they have plenty of options. Yep, that one particular machine you like is often taken during the rush hour, but they likely have two other machines that do something very similar. For example, the fly-machine upstairs is very popular, but they have two more of those machines downstairs that get overlooked. I’ve been largely impressed with their lifting stations too, especially the outdoor area. This place isn’t a fun-zone rec center with a pool and basketball court. It’s a place strictly dedicated to health and fitness, which I appreciate. Overall a well managed, clean, and modern gym that cares for its members. Staff are all friendly, too. They seem to be more than happy to help you learn if you need it.

I joined Summit several months ago. I enjoy going to the River and Bluff location, although the new Sunset location is pretty amazing. It’s nice because even when it’s busy it doesn’t feel packed, there is so much open space! Staff at all locations are very friendly. The environment is welcoming. They have a variety of classes at each location along with a variety of equipment. River and Sunset have an outdoor area which is super nice. River has a large pool along with a kids size pool, and a hot tub. I’ve been to other gyms in the area, and Summit is simply the best. Not to mention it’s a local gym! Love supporting Summit and I’m proud to be a member !

Summit Athletic clubs management are money pinching theifs. My brother had a membership with summit under my Fathers account, and he got a new job where his job gave him a free membership. After he quit he was left with NO membership because someone from summit had removed him from my fathers account without his authorization or consent. Now they want to charge him extra instead of giving back his original contract with them. My father and summit finally agreed to a set price. Now someone else from their management contacted us saying they are upping the price even more and know nothing of the agreement set with the other manager! His account should have never been touched and it was done without anyones consent or knowing. They also wanted to charge my husband after he tried canceling his account because he could not afford their outrageous prices. He contacted them the very first day of that month to cancel and they wanted to charge him for that whole month before approving cancelation. All this gym does is take advantage of their members. Not worth it. Shame on you summit. Do not trust summit Athletic club! Im very glad I left when I did.

First the tv's are broken for days, and walking on a treadmill staring at nothing is incredibly tedious. Next, the air is turned off with no warning, turning the place into an oven and making it impossible to work out. They don't bother informing new members of gym etiquette, so one person will hog multiple machines and harass other members when they want to use one. Aluminum cans and dirty towels in the parking lot for days. The Sunset location has gone downhill fast. Do not recommend.

Love all the classes —- this new gym is a beauty! I can’t say much about equipment because I am mainly in the class room but I love all the class options and the teachers have been great
